flight changes? grimming opportunity

My mate is an idiot and cant be arsed to book his own tickets to hk.
so me being a nice person that i am offerd to book it for him.

so went on a site it said the prices are not guarenteed but i think 410£ for flights to hong kong is pretty good

so i booked the flight for him

but they are not confirmed yet

will i be able to change the flights because nothing is fully confirmed?

or will i have to buy them if the prices are the same or cheaper?


the funny thing is that the flight is not direct and he has to spend 14 hours in russia.
and he gets to hong kong on the 7th and his flight from uk leaves on the 5th

I can not change or cancel the flights unless i pay 100£ each flight
