A hell of a lot of people go into marathons unprepared and never get anywhere near the finish line. And 20 bets of £50 is not a "marathon route",try 100 bets of £10 and see how you get on with that.

Just wondering how your getting on with this? I've managed to get £50 up to £450 doing the same sort of thing ie shipping on a leading football team at 1.1 etc with a couple of mins to go as well as a few other bets. Nearly went busto once which I suppose is inevitable at some point if I keep doing it. If I can get to maybe £7-800 then I'll start to just use 20% max of roll, which may give me a chance not to.
Its just a bit of fun really and I don't care if I go busto but it gets the heart racing!
I reckon I'll probably do ok during the 20/20 WC as its the one sport I have consistently won at on BF, and all my bets have come in so far bar one which was a ridic long shot anyway..........

You can get value backing short odds. I know one very successful punter who makes a good living betting 1.1 and shorter. But he is brilliant at picking the right ones at getting with and which ones to leave alone. If you are confident in your ability, go for it. But it is far easier backing things at bigger prices which you think are value and the variance is far far less.

Thanks, just doing this for a bit of comedy tbh, but its nice to hear its not totally off the wall. Like I say, if I go busto I don't really care as I only started from £50, I should make some money from the 20/20 though............
