WTF was he doing in the Ukraine?
discussing losing frames for money. do try to keep up
but seriously
this is the key question - why not a hotel in luton? The whole thing is bizarre.

I read somewhere that he met the reporters 3 times before this in England.
Then he travelled to Ukraine.
If he thought they were mafia would he really have gone there?
Get real Higgins.

I could be wrong, but I think it was just Mooney who met them 3 times, this was the 1st time Higgins was present...

thats the fckin point - why would he need to travel to kiev? He wasn't going there to get a suitcase full of cash (that wasn't offered). So why would he need to travel there to agree some sort of deal? The whole thing doesn't make sense.

I made some decent money on the Davis game because the odds were too long when Davis was several frames ahead imo. Higgins missed a ton of easy shots in that one, anyone think he may have thrown it?

Oh ok.
Just smacks of the Groblaar defence.
If you ask 99% of football fans they will say he was guilty of match fixing. Yet it was v difficult to prove in court.

I doubt a top 16 player would ever throw a World Championship match, unless his wife/kids were being threatened or something like that.

Exactly. Snooker gets virtually no coverage, so if anything is dodgy does go on, it'll be in the random torneys not even covered by tv... Not the 1 that eactually does grab a decent amount of attention.

I thibk Robbo is a little short at 1.4ish, plenty of snooker left in this... Not laid any off yet though, will hopefully be able to follow it frame by frame tomorrow.

the kiev thing is actually quite bizarre as ukraine is rare (maybe unique?) amongst european countries in that gambling is illegal so that's certainly not where they were planning on doing the betting
it'll be made legal again now that yushchenko/timoshenko have been ousted but could take a while
