how do I root an htc desire on froyo with version 0.93 bootloader? all the guides tell me I need 0.80 and earlier
Have you tried turning it off and on? ldo, afaik that's the only way to find out what bootloader version you have |

I'm on 7.0.2 (cyanogen mod) and it's excellent. Lots of improvements to the previous one.
One thing I would recommend to anyone with an android phone is to use google's two-step verification to help protect your account. I can confidently allow apps to use my google account for authorisation without worrying about the safety of my account. My scare yesterday was probably a blessing in disguise.

not really many that excite me but android agenda is pretty nice if you use the calendar on your phone. and coin flip widget obv |

question for peeps running handcent or similar. can I make it so I only get 1 notification of new messages? kinda annoying that I always get one from handcent and one from the normal message app

Yea, u got go into settings and make sure its just handscent messaging that's in use. |

Open up the native messaging app and disable the notification in there. Then in handcent you can choose the notification settings you want, and you can also set up individual settings for different contacts. |

Finally am able to move Flash to the SD card, freeing up 12mb of internal memory storage. Was the largest app that I couldn't move to SD, and with a lot of apps on the phone the Desire was quickly running out of space.

gentle alarm An alarm clock shouldn't shell-shock you out of your dreams. That's why I created Gentle Alarm which tries to wake you up during light sleep using an optional pre-alarm.
Alarm clocks can't know if you are in light sleep or deep sleep (those movement based alarm clock don't work) but they can play a very quiet pre-alarm which you will only hear if you are in light sleep. If you are in deep sleep, you will simply sleep through the pre-alarm.
The pre-alarm plays 30min before you really want to get up (you can change that). If the pre-alarm wakes you up, you will be more refreshed than if you had slept until the main alarm because at that time you would have fallen back into deep sleep. Give it a try and I am sure you won't want to miss it anymore.
was highly sceptical of this at first but it's amazing, I've not woken up feeling tired since I started using it |

If you turn it off, why would you expect the alarm to work? No. All my previous phones, (Mostly Nokia) You could set the alarm and then turn it off. It would still "wake up" and ring. |
