Had my android for about 5 months now.  Wasnt sure when I first got it but fully convinced now!  Favourite apps are: ESPN goals, Sky Go, Halifax, Mp3 Music, PhotoFunia.  All androids need now is Siri and I would never leave...

Now that we've all had time to get used to our androids, what apps are your favourite?

For me it was c:geo (a geocache tool) - but they removed the best feature on it last month.

HandcentSMS - a really good SMS txting replacement app.

TweetDeck

LogMeIn - Remote access to my PC

eBuddy

Advanced Task Killer

Those are the apps I have use pretty much all the time.

I had a nice simple weather app. At a glance next few hours, easy to set location, not too many bells & whistles.

It stopped working so I binned it. Any suggestions for a new one?

Found what looks like a suitable app.

'The Weather Channel'

The trouble is, it wants permission to send sms, make calls, write to my calendar etc. WTF is that all about?

Have been trying Swift Key X...latest generation of strong-AI-based input software....Not bad. It can be linked to Gmail and Facebook so that it can 'learn' your grammatical and linguistic style.
Can't find it on Market, but there's a free version floating around on the web as apk.

When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down 'happy'. They told me i didn't understand the assignment, and I told them they didn't understand life.

Aaaaarrgh!!! Surely it would be better if taught you* correct grammar and linguistics??

Most apps ask for a ridiculous amount of access to things you'd never think they would need.

This is one of those things you'll either have to live with or withous as all apps will ask for pretty much far more access than you would think necessary.

As long as it's from a 'trusted source' I go with it.

After all, Google's motto is "Do No Evil" right?
