None of the contracts have 'unlimited' internet. There all capped at either 500mb 750mb or 1gb fair usage policy. Giffgaff don't have a FUP, unlimited for personal use.

Bugger!!
Had to exchange my phone due to a technical fault.
Lost a nice simple little app that sat on the home screen and allowed me to toggle WiFi Bluetooth GPS and screen brightness.
It was just the 4 (or maybe five) icons on a little toolbar, nothing else.
Anyone know what it's called?

Forgive my ignorance. I don't seem to have a widgets menu. I can't see it in apps or settings.

I love my Desire, but if I was getting a phone now I'd go for the Desire HD. Faster, bigger, generally better - the biggest single benefit being the greater internal storage. Here's a comparison of the two: http://bigphonefight.com/htc-desire-hd-vs-htc-desire-review

http://www.swiftkey.net/how-to-use-swiftkey.htmlThanks to Linux for the heads-up on this one. I've been using swype as my inpuinput keyboard, but am now trying this out and I'm liking it so far. It should get even better over time the more I use it.

If your old android phone was rooted you can do a backup and restore to your new phone, and then play around a bit to get it right. Other than that I'm not sure. Your downloaded apps are linked to your account, and even more so if you use appbrain to manage your apps. That would make it easier to move to a new phone with the minimum of fuss.

my galaxy s seems to freeze quiet a lot, any tips?
Ive deleted apps etc but it still takes ages to load and i just end up pulling battery out and restarting it. I'm guessing thats not the technically correct way to go about it.

It shouldn't do that very often at all, unless you're really hitting it with some memory/processor-intensive apps.
What version of the OS is it running, and I'm assuming you haven't 'rooted' the phone and applied a modified version of the OS (which actually run far better than the stock OS as they make better use of storage space and processor capacity, etc.).
