The general table seems pretty weak but there is a German slow roller on my immediate left who went deep in the EPT snowfest and a FT pro three to my left.

Unfortunately Steve Sung has joined my table and is sat on my immediate right.  I didn't know who he was at first but he plays the absolute top nosebleeds on Full Tilt and has a string of decent cashes live.  He is sat with big sunglasses and a hoodie on so I am not ever going to get a read.  I know who he is when this hand happens and he is walking all over the table.

He won't have me as a nit, as I probably played back at him more than the rest of the table put together.

I have 80K chips.  He has around the same.

Blinds are 300/600 and I think the ante was 50 though it may have been 25.

It is folded round to him in the cut off and he open limps 600.  I never saw him do this before this point.   This bamboozled me and I almost asked if it was a misclick, though I am sure he wouldn't have even smiled.

I have Q9sooted(not clubs) and call.  SB and BB call.  I assume this is fine.

The flop was JdTd8c

It goes check, check, check and I bet 2000, Steve Sung calls.

The turn is the , he checks, I bet 5500, he calls. So far, so standard.

The river is the Two Clubs, he checks, I bet 7500, he thinks for a bit and places 35K over the line.

I tank and tank, I say "I may as well have a jack here" and the break comes and I tank some more....

I snap this pretty quick.

The majority of your 3barrel range is sets, top2, straights etc and you have very few club flush draws in your range. If he's got you considering folding the nut straigt then its obv a great spot to c/r bluff the club river.

He's obv very good so I think he's aware of this which puts a lot more combinations of bluffs in his range than there would otherwise be. He can also be turning made hands into bluffs.

Call, just unlucky if he has clubs.

He has you on far weaker than the made straight, I reckon

You look like you're betting to protect.

Way too many hands that he can have here that he thinks he's value shoving with + of course the bluffs.

There's no way he's putting you on a decent flush.

Call and cry a bit if you lose.

+ you shouldn't really have a decision here. You should be betting to call or betting to fold. You shouldn't be betting to then have to go in to a ten minute tank.

As has already been said if you were planning to fold to a shove you should just check behind.

I wasn't planning to.  I was betting to induce, I just wasn't expecting it to be so big!

Then I got thinking have I turned my hand face up by betting so small... then I started thinking that fits this so well.  And then I worked out how many chips I would have left... And I had already worked out he probably thought a level or two above me....and I'll take as long as I like when it is two thirds of my chips and $10k of equity to call Tongue

I eventually called and he had .

He really is very good.  I sat with Patrik Antinous once for most of a day and he didn't walk over the table as much as this kid did.  I wouldn't be surprised if he wins it all.

Anway just checking my line, as this one bothered me for the last couple of days.  FWIW I did hero call for all my chips later vs him and am still in it.

I never did ask if the limp was a misclick, though I may ask him today as he is on the next table.

And PS what was the probability of me finding myself with two 300k stacks at my table today?  Not sure if this is good or bad.  I originally thought it was bolix, but I guess they may play borderline spew with stacks that big??
