I'm not sure I understand.  Those advocating a fold in hand 1 - really?  For what reasons?

KJs is a pretty shite starting hand?

You're in position, it's 575 more to call and there's 3,000 in the middle already and you close the action.

I call.

wtf

?

hand 1, very easy call, ur getting over 5/1, with a man all in so very unlikely bb is going to bluff the dry pot

hand 2 you have top pair  top kicker, with the nut flush redraw. you say the guy has been very active, so i flat him to the river, and poss jam if u make ur flush

Who all those who think  is a bad hand, allow me illustrate the kind of hands you can make with it...
  - A royal flush an outstandingly good hand
two spades   - the NUT flush, a very strong hand
  - the K-9 straight, a stroing hand, often the nuts.
        - the second nut flush, a very very good hand
  - four of a kind kings, an EXTREMELY EXTREMELY STRONG HAND.
  - Jacks full of kings, another high ranking hand (full house)

Id raise/call hand 2 most likely unless he's very good.

you forgot to mention that hand 1 was also a knockout tournament which makes folding impossible

hand 2 if the opener was bad and shown to call 3 bets oop light already i would happily 3bet pre
