Well to get top 10 these are the kind of monsters you're dealing with
http://www.pocketfives.com/sortable-rankings/?custom_location=true&country_id=GB#
vbol pads - if anyone can do it its you imo
Also if the backing deal doesn't materialise and you want to sell any more action i'll res 10 of everything please
Hey yeah, these guys are absolute sickos but I'm sure all of them would say that they have improved so much from all their grinding and even when looking back 3-4-5-6 months ago they will cringe about certain lines they took as we all do. One of the reasons why I think I'd have a good chance is because of Vegas, if I did decide to not go to Vegas and grind online a lot more then 1) Comps are joke softer at this time and 2) They would miss out on quite alot of time. I'm not sure EXACTLY how PocketFives points work though so would have to look into all of that first ofc. Being able to do this whilst working a full time job is nigh on impossible though, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
Thanks regarding the 10% thing, will hopefully win enough this Sunday to make you freeroll for a long time
Here is a pretty sick post by Noah regarding MTT variance etc

Sigh, don't stop posting pha. Blonde poker has by far the best strategy forum I've seen, and your a big part of that. I have no doubt you can achieve whatever you want in poker, you have real talent and flair. Pha always has the chance of getting heated, there gr a little ego in every post but people need to get over that and man the fuck and just express their thoughts. Its what I've done and I feel so improved over the last month

I saw the NoahSD blog posts when they first came out - pretty interesting reading although the HUSNG one is basically 'if you have rakeback you should have an easy life, just play lots'.
The MTT one is really sick. Especially as a backer but even as a horse too, to take on that kind of variance every day would be pretty draining - I'm pretty sure that if someone offered me a full high stakes MTT deal right now I wouldn't take it.
I'd say you're going into this with a much greater knowledge of both the game and the variance/bankroll management required to play MTTs than any of the names on that list probably did so I think you've got a legit chance to get onto that list.

If the goal is to get in the top 10 on pocket
, then I think sheer volume and playing high enough is at least as important as talent. Some of the top 20 are clearly very talented, but others put in large volume. For instance Moorman isn't top 10 because he is playing bad, but simply because he doesn't put in the volume he once did. I think it is very doable.
If the goal is to get in the top 10 MTTers in the UK, then it is a much bigger ask.

Yeh it's definitely the latter but im nt sure how to quantify it? I assume the tournament leader board is similar and looking at rois can cause confusion because of one off binks? It's obviously it some ego attached to it but it's the challenge and desire to succeed rather than wanting to brag.

Nah I think it was played perfectly although I understand why you may not think so. Ok so from 100 people out te guy was raising literally 100% of hands he was 5bet shoving q4s opening from anywhere with anything and wanting to get as much money into the middle as possible.
With 35 left I called him on the river with ace high after 2 big streets of betting in a 3bet pot. He was down to 1m when he left te table and returned directly on my right with 17 left with 15m. He was 1/12 when I was 2 and 4/12 and I didn't want to get into a huge pre flop pot with him where I felt like my edge on the rest of the field was so huge and the pay jumps massive. I decided to play more pots vs him in position but not 3vet him at all as he would 100% go all the way with anything vs me and I was happy o play the streets cs him an pick away at his stack.
He opens cut off and can have any two cards here, I flat button with jams there was also 2 short stacks in the blinds who could go all in as it was a great spot.
Flop is 853sch and in prepared to call 3 streets now and bet turn and river of he checks them. He bets flop I call, turn is
and he bets bigger, I raise bigger than normal and he calls. River is the ah and he donks close to pot very quickly. At this point I have zero flushes in my range and he knows it is never err raise a fd on tr turn, he is also continuing the turn with all pairs and all straight draws, there's no way I can ever fold vs this lunatic and of he did have the 910 or 89 I probably win a massive massive chip lead pot with 12 left, instead he had the old 93hh and won the tournament.!
In really really happy with my play in the comp, I was aggressive at the right times, tight when I needed to be and took an in game adjustment with 15 people left that I think many people would struggle to do.

Have been doing chunks on stars over theist few days but just had insanely good session on microgaming today to make up for it.
The 409nl regs play really ba vs aggression and instead of tightening their range vs me when they are on my right try continue to open and then play badly vs my 3bet, I'm 3bettong like 40% co vs born and they jus burning money tryin to adjust. For example one guy now only ever shoves or folds vs my tree bets and when I am 2.5xn his raise I can play so easily ca his strategy.
Around 4 years ago three betting was the big thing that was introduced to poker, x years ago a three bet was aces now it's atc. So slowly after the three bet came the four bet that people realised was a good counter. I've wrote about different 4bet strategies and studied then into really great depth and I think 4bettong 'too' much isn't a bad thing as it gives you experience of playing in 4ber pots something that regs may not be used to as they are often used to 5b or fold.
The next thing that I think will become super standard and build on dynamics will be cold 4bets. I cold 4bet close to 90% in my pest 5 hands on a table of the opportunity arises. People react like woahhhhhhh and just give it far too much credit, also as 3ber ranges are basically q polarised it means that they will usually 5bet or fold meaning we can make it super small especially of its co or btn vs sb vs bb as it means we're in position.
After heatering at te 400and 600 euro tables I want to a birthday BBQ for a friend an was quite a lot of colleagues tere watching the football and looking over to Africa whilst enjoying the BBQ. I play a lot of poker and give my absolute life to it but it is nice to spend night with friends and family too, as with everything balance is the most important thing.
Tomorrow is probably biggest day of my poker career, huge huge Sunday an in off work on Monday an goon to have a nice big lunch before and stock up. Grinding from 1 till hopefully 8am and I'm ready to crush. Gl everybody else playing.
