just had my first "aha" moment in a long time. Definitely the biggest for 12 months I think. Was probably a huge leak previously and even the last guy I paid for coaching told me to do the opposite, but basically clicked and understand now.
<3 mtts.
what was the aha moment mate?

Not going to do a trip report or anything but had the most brutal weekend. Whilst winning five figures it definitely felt like a loss. Was vvvvv close to a huge pay day but ran horrifically cold deep in 4
Very large tournaments where 6 figures was a very realistic goal. I feel like I played the best I ever have and still managed to learn a lot. It's so good to know that you are anything but complete as a poker player, some may hate the fact, but it's true, nobody is good at poker as they think they are.
I hae set myself a personal goal which includes some pretty huge targets and that 99% of people will think are unattainable. I'm goon to continue to work on my game, receiving more coaching, continuing to coach others, focusing on self development and want to say that by the ed of 2013 I am in te top 10 MTT players in the UK. I was initially goin to look for action on this but I assume that nobody wants to lay really huge odds and in doing those myself rather than for monetary gain, although ofc that is a very nice bonus.
It's pretty funny actually, Raymond, perhaps my favourite blonde said something in Marbella along the lines of 'I think your alt more suited to cash games than tournaments after I had made some moves in a tournament that were more suited for cash games than MTTs. I definitely disagreed and without wanting to get into too much detail I feel like I played as good as possible in Marbella. Anyway that little comment that was not intended in a bad way at all as ray is just a super honest guy, made me stay awake most of the night and little things like that just really drive me to want to succeed. Ray is one of if not the bes 180 man grinder on stars and it's quite ironic that im now trying to do something very similar.
So plans from now are to 1) continue playing cash games and worki on fundamentals and theoretical side of the game
2) increase volume of MTTs decreasing abi and doing 3 tourny reviews each week of my 3 deepest runs, 1 with a coach. Would love recommendAtions of the best MTT coaches from anyone playing mid-high MTTs.
3) work out a deal with a staking team for MTTs that involves coaching. If 3) doesn't materialise I'm happy playing abut smaller on my own dime and selling for Sunday's.
I have decided that although I have already had my best year in poker before June has started I an going to swerve Vegas and spend more time continuing to work on my game so that I can put myself into a position next year where I have the opportunity to go for the whole of summer. Il also spend the vacation days that I would hae taken as complete days off and spend them with my brilliant family who are very understanding of poker and will have my full focus, attention ad wallet for the time we spend away together. Unsure on exactly where to go but will be somewhere very very quiet.
As I am managing this MTT/cash grind around a job that finishes at 7.30 everyday in goin to be focusing a lot more on work and work and as a result will probably not be spending as much time posting on blonde. 2 Pha posts really got to me this evening and it annoys me that your typing tone can be totally different to what you are trying to express. I've experienced this problem before and have come to accept that from the sheer volume of posts I make combined with my usual honesty I am bount to piss people off in certain spots where I didn't intend too. Typing is such a joke anyway and I hope that anyone I've net in real life would perhaps say that in not a hugely controversial or argumentative character.

We have a cleaner called Rosie who we first used in Spain last year when moving to gib we continued to use her as she us very good. She works for the Spanish council cleaning in schools and hospitals, because of the recession she hasn't been paid by the government for 14 months which is so ridiculous but is pot commuted now and needs to keep working to receive the backlog of payments eventually. The money we pay her each week combined with her savings that should be her retirement money pays for her family and they just about love. She didn't come for 2 weeks and unfelt abut angry she hadn't let us know.. She came on Saturday morning looking very pale and apologised so much for not coming before telling Ingrid she had really bad cancer but couldn't stop cleaning for us otherwise she basically wouldn't be able to survive.
This is not an isolated case, Spain is really really fucked up, whilst many of us saw the glam and gold on Marbella and peurta Banus, what's going on in their equivalent of Rochdale, chesterfield, Sunderland and Mansfield is very very scary. I have a friend who has a family over the border an is having to relocate to Belgium as his kids are sharing classes with 35 others and education is v v poor.

I genuinely think you could reach the goals you are setting yourself. You seem to want it really bad and unlike many who also want it but aren't willing to put in the effort required you definitely are. Don't think I've met anyone even close to the levels of enthusiasm that you show.
I'm not really sure how you're going to find the hours to put in the time that's going to be required to get there whilst also having a job but the vbol.
Also I speak to Pads a lot on skype and lived with him for 9 days in Marbella and certainly don't think he's controversial or argumentative.
Still think 6bing 93os in level 1 in a comp full of Spanish ppl is not the greatest strat

Sick targets there m8, just seeing how you post/write about poker it's easy to see how passionate you are about the game and it'll be great to follow.
I've only me you once for a few hours but you don't come across like that at all irl and your posts only come off as someone who as I said above is passionate about the game.
