And the day begins... Budapest! Ftops at 11!!

So we moved today what a ridiculously long and tiring day. House is in district 8 which has a bad reputation but is totally done. Actually apartment block is very good and safe and house im in is very big and spacious.  Fell asleep at 6pm abs shattered and inconveniently work up an hour ago grrr.

Have no Internet till Friday which is very annoying but cat do anything about it it seems.

Will be interesting to see how I find buda. Let's see.

Great great first few days in Budapest.

Day 1

I got here, sorted Internet out, it didn't work. Fell asleep and woke up in the morning - riveting!

Day 2

Explored the city. So so hot, around 38 degrees. Stopped every 6/7 bars and had a soft drink and got to know the city. Went home and showered and met a guy who was in similar situation to me. We went to a very nice restaurant and then to a few bars. It's just so so so so different to the uk. In the uk you have a bunch of guys together with tops going down to their chests fully steroided up and with some intentions of sleeping with girls and girls with generally little banter or if you speak to them in a bar they think you want the same as the roided guys. Here it's a lot different every bar is full of people not actually from Budapest ad everybody is sharing stories and is in a similar situation.

The bars are mostly outside, I didn't realise there was no roof for around 3 hours! But generally great ambience and whilst there is music you can still have an actual cover station. Everything feels safe and there is no trouble and nobody wanting aggro.

Day 3

Generally when I go out in te uk I tell myself I won't go out again in a long time. But the next day I was lookin forward to socialising already.

I stayed in the house for a long time then went to play football with the guy from te night before and a us pro poker player and a bunch of Hungarians. We won comprehensively and I had arranged to meet a friend 1 hour later. So quick turn around and we went to the Danube (river in Budapest) we went perhaps 1 mile further and sat for 2 hours on top of this tunnel with the best view of Budapest you could imagine. All lit up its really really nice.

We went to get dinner at 1am ish and played some lodden thinks where we asked the waitress how hot she though sonebody was (random friends on fb) on a scale of 1-100 and bet on it. I did chunks but when a very nice meal is 5 pounds it's quite ok.

I get Internet tody which im not see is a good thing! I've been so attached to the Internet over the last 3 years that having a break from it has felt quite liberating.

There is a poker community of around 100 guys here so will likely meet more of these guys over te next few weeks and months. Adam picken should be here next week too which should be good. There's a lot of space left in the house here so I anybody wants to come and chill or grind some of wcoop you are more than welcome.

Haha not at all. It's actually the opposite of England where it's groups of guys an groups of girls. For example yesterday there was 2scottish guys, an American couple, 2 Russians girls, 4 girls from Birmingham and 3 guys from ecquador(sp def wrong) all sitting together)

I definitely won't learn the language. It's one of the hardest to learn actually.

My friend yesterday spoke a lot of languages so if a group of Portuguese girls or guys came to the bar he woul snap start talking in Portuguese. Pretty sick.

Literally perfect timing for me. Had the most ridiculous 7 day grind, 334 tournaments played. Definitely hoping to compete with Pads volume wise, looking forward to some decent downtime too though. Pads, wug in wcoop bets now? Still posting pg+c over on the other forum.

Well theres not been much. I played 4 and cashed zero. 3 2 outers a s a flip. Whatever.

May sound stupid as you guys take a lot of time off but not playing poker for 3 days is, in sure going to have a positive impact.

In literally chomping at the bit and can't wait to get back and stuck in!

Margaret island is pretty cool, chk it out. Take your swimming shorts. Also try find some ruin pubs. The thermal bath/spa is nice called rudas. City castle nice too

At night Budapest is one of the edgiest cities I have been to.

I appreciate that you aren't falling into this category, but I understand that "bouncers" frog marching people to cash points and rinsing them is a very common occurrence.
