I mean I never really have more than 3 beers ever when going out and usually will try and be cautious and always think of the worst so whilst I can't physically protect myself ways I do a good job mentally.

Great great first few days in Budapest.

Day 1

I got here, sorted Internet out, it didn't work. Fell asleep and woke up in the morning - riveting!

Day 2

Explored the city. So so hot, around 38 degrees. Stopped every 6/7 bars and had a soft drink and got to know the city. Went home and showered and met a guy who was in similar situation to me. We went to a very nice restaurant and then to a few bars. It's just so so so so different to the uk. In the uk you have a bunch of guys together with tops going down to their chests fully steroided up and with some intentions of sleeping with girls and girls with generally little banter or if you speak to them in a bar they think you want the same as the roided guys. Here it's a lot different every bar is full of people not actually from Budapest ad everybody is sharing stories and is in a similar situation.

The bars are mostly outside, I didn't realise there was no roof for around 3 hours! But generally great ambience and whilst there is music you can still have an actual cover station. Everything feels safe and there is no trouble and nobody wanting aggro.

Day 3

Generally when I go out in te uk I tell myself I won't go out again in a long time. But the next day I was lookin forward to socialising already.

I stayed in the house for a long time then went to play football with the guy from te night before and a us pro poker player and a bunch of Hungarians. We won comprehensively and I had arranged to meet a friend 1 hour later. So quick turn around and we went to the Danube (river in Budapest) we went perhaps 1 mile further and sat for 2 hours on top of this tunnel with the best view of Budapest you could imagine. All lit up its really really nice.

We went to get dinner at 1am ish and played some lodden thinks where we asked the waitress how hot she though sonebody was (random friends on fb) on a scale of 1-100 and bet on it. I did chunks but when a very nice meal is 5 pounds it's quite ok.

I get Internet tody which im not see is a good thing! I've been so attached to the Internet over the last 3 years that having a break from it has felt quite liberating.

There is a poker community of around 100 guys here so will likely meet more of these guys over te next few weeks and months. Adam picken should be here next week too which should be good. There's a lot of space left in the house here so I anybody wants to come and chill or grind some of wcoop you are more than welcome.

Sounds sick, and genuinely very different from the UK which i should think makes a nice change.

Hopefully the novelty doesn't wear off to soon/at all?

We went to Charlie's for food which was surprisingly good, then some club called champagne or something which was rammed with fit Spanish ladies. Having only ever been off season previously I was surprised how vibrant the marina was

Pavel is really really nice. We are good friends, lived together for a while and were probably closest mates for most of my time there.

One day I went to his to grind when his girlfriend was away for the weekend. He won a WSOP main event seat... I stayed in the spare room and we woke up to black friday lol

LOL ... know how that feels. I used too play at decent level.  Last time I played, it had been a while but I soon got into it still had decent touch and was getting pretty confident, then I sprinted for a ball but had forgot how fat I was and it felt like I had got shot. I heard something pop then had to crawl on all off the pitch.  Not played since  .If football is something u like to do I would recommend doing it now rather than later cos once in ur 30s it gets harder and harder to get ur fitness back and ur 30s will be here quicker than u think. Enjoy reading ur blog and really impressed how you seem to take everything in ur stride, wether it works out or not where ever u are at least u r giving it a go and gaining another life experience which are invaluable and when u look back you will be glad you done.   Hope everything goes well.  VBOL

Same can kinda be said about the MTT route. There was no need for me to try it out and after a very bad first month I could have just walked away but glad I stuck in, grinded it out and had a very good July and August. I've started playing cash games more now too. Feel super on top of my game and just love playing!

I'm thinking about supernova elite next year it would be a huge grind but it would really mean something to me.

Experience coaching?

In my opinion you can only be a good coach if youve been a bad one. I have coached over 50 people in the last 3 years. I started off as a bad coach and believe now that I have the perfect recipes ready to improve players at all stakes up to 500nl.

I am currently coaching numerous people in fast poker games including big winners at 500nl. I can of course give contact details of those guys who will be happy to vouch

Reccomended for - Underconfident grinders who want ti quickly go over their game. Maybe you are on a downswing, or just want to experience coaching for the first time

Homework is for grinders

What is it?

This is a 1 hour session where you write to me at least 5 days before the session with something you want to improve on. I will work out a session and email you at least 3 days before the session to prepare the necessary materials (stats etc) for the session and we will try to fix the things you are uncomfortable with

Reccomended for - Guys who really love to disect their game and dont mind putting some extra hours in offline to make sure their game is tip-top

Video review

What is it?

You will send me a 30-40 minute video of you playing 4 tables. I will then write a full transcipt of how I view your game, what can improve, what you do well (confidence is a big thing) and where to go next. We will then do a Skype call tlater in the week to go over it.

Reccomended for - Students of the game who want to learn more about their game and find out the little things that make the big differences

What is it?

Real Life!!!

What is it?

I will invite you to my house in Hungary where there will be a grind set up ready for your arrival. We will do a minimum of 4 hours coaching per day and all meals and beverages will be completely free. I will show you around the city, we will hang out, grind together, do lots of studying and go into real lockdown. Accomodation is OF COURSE included. There may be other grinders here living but you will get all of the attention and their influence should be a positive thing.

Reccomended for - Guys who want to make a MASSIVE effort and be in a high tempo enviroment
