Interesting 1st topic. I am not racist or sexist ageist etc but more than this i dislike reverse racism and reverse sexism etc. Everyone is different and it should be aknowledged. Women should be able to do the same jobs as men but they should have to pass the same tests etc, People of all ethnic standings should have equal opportunities but should not have extra opportunities. My friend went to marines recruitment and was told if he wanted to apply for the officer training he would likely be successful because he was black and they had to try and encourage more people from diffrent back grounds etc. How can this be fair. if he is good enough he is good enough regardless of his colour.
Another friend was a firefighter and the only person who did not have a supprot group was the straight white male. It grips my shit when people/government/powers that be interefere and instigate rules regulations for the sake of it. On an application form it will often ask to state ethnic status / beliefs / sex etc in the interest of equal opportunities, if it was truly equal opportunities why do they need to know it should be left totally blank and anonomous and then judged purely on the important and relevant info. ....... rant over ... peace
There is so much wrong with this post.
There are plenty of jobs women can't do, and jobs that men can't do.
Re: your friend in the marines. Really, that's what he was told? I doubt it. I agree that a lot of employers want or need a certain % of their employees to be from ethnic backgrounds. But if your mate was 35 stone, asthmatic, black and walked with a limp. You think he would get the job, just because he was black?
The equal opportunities question is generally asked for research purposes. There possibly is still some employers out there that help them judge from it, but I think it's generally used for more useful info, like advertising, ensuring certain ethicities are applying for certain jobs etc.
Finally, as for the fireman. Has he ever wondered why there isn't a support group for white straight firefighters?

fuck the subsequent poker posts, I loved the posts about the dogs.
Id never had a dog until the last 12 months and it's just a fantastic experience. How an animal can be so loving and loyal is just awesome. Don't get me started on cats....
Must be a lot of effort to look after them - hats off!
People can slate you all they want for the food stuff but at least you aren't a pigeon who has a well done steak
I'd bet I'm the most adventurous eater on blonde - I will eat absolutely anything as long as I know it's edible. In fact tonight, part of my dinner consisted of fried frogs (whole) and silk worms. Part of the reason I'm like this is because my dad is a nutcase even by my standards. Do your parents have similar eating habits to you?
Barrold Carter made a good post though - I'd advise you to just try stuff, even in tiny quantities - you may love it. Don't judge a book by its cover n all that!

Day 4 First time I went to Vegas..
As Greeky posted itt I'll write about the first time we met.
I'm sitting in the wynn having a hair it and a massage loving life.
"alright is that Pleno ?"
"yessir how can I help?"
"it's cos"
"who?"
"greekstein"
"ohhhhh.."
"Alex Martin gave me your number"
"nice how you doing? Grinding?"
"good buddy just going for a meal tonight at a really nice restaurant"
"oh ok cool sounds good what kind of food?"
"I dno just pretty nice steak etc I guess"
"alright I'm in"
Get there and we have the most random group.
Greeky
Marky
Sunny nagi
Alex Martin
Keys (for 3 minutes)
Some random 40 year old who had just min cashed some WSOP 1k, Greeky had really done the rounds here...
So it works out that they had booked a table at this restaurant that is open once a month or something and because it's summer it's ofc joke expensive but you pay the price of the whole thing not per person.
So nobody but Greeky and maybe sunny know the price. Alex Martin had won 50k in a 6max WSOP, this English punter had just won 1.2k or soenthIng after buying in for 1k and I'd done ok at cash.
So we have a 17 dish meal all the tiniest dishes that you could imagine. We finished and I had ate like 11/17 eventually it came to 500pp and we ended up not flipping. Pretty comedy I think I had a McDonald's within 4 hours.
We then went to WSOP to rail Mitch and this hilarious thing happened where there was 8 of us some guy went all in for 0.8bb and the. Somebody called and whatever else happens in the band but we ended up mildly arguing with these American kids about the correct strategy when sonebody goes all in for a bowl.
This was the night after sunny kept going all in with "trays" I think blind in Venetian after 20 or so drinks.
Do you still have the menu from the place cos?

It was 20 years ago and unless my friend is a liar then yes thats what he was told.
- If my mate was 35 stone asthmatic and walked with a limp then he would not get the job and for u to insinuate that i said this is mind bogglin retarded. He was obv super fit and educated already but was told that if he chose to apply he would be likely to be at an advantage because they were looking to recruit from ethnic background or words to that effect. obv he would have to pass all the tests as would anyone else. I also have another friend who is short spotty and a black man and he didn get a job as a bikini model jus because he was black....... but then I never said that either did I?

Yes he did and that was my point. Why didn they? because it reverse discrimination. Why should gays, women, ethnic background, have time off paid to attend their groups. if they feel aggrieved go thru appropraite channel and get it sorted. IMO shud not be treated different. Where does it stop. Should gingers have the right to time off paid to attend support group? What about short people? are their feelings any less important. If they need support groups go do it on own time at own expense.

Surely, it can be both of these, it must be a Sunday morning, within 1 hour of waking. Film it! Will be amazing!

Deffo this, those tugged at the old heartstrings!!
Dogs are just incred, got a couple mates who try talking up cats and I just will not have a bar of it!!
Cats are just annoying imo, you only see them when they want feeding and the rest of the time they're out mooching...
ROFL @ that meal in Vegas!
The restaurant was é in Jaleo @ the Cosmopolitan and you have to book it up months in advance. Sunny had booked us in, we had a team of 8 for the dinner and life was good.
Then the standard happens, the lad who had asked if he could come texts me on the day 'I'm playing tennis, can't make dinner'.... ORLY Tennis at 8pm in Vegas yba
Alex was easy enough to get onboard and the mincasher was a mate of mine Paul who I've known years. Thank god those 2 came or we'd have been doing about $800 a man for the meal!!
The meal should have cost about $300pp, but because a few people didn't turn up their bill was shared amongst those of us that did and all in all it came to just under $500 pp
