I would propose a question and ask if you wanted to bet on it with me with what Kinboshi thinks.

1- I ask Kinboshi to think of a number how many women Matt has slept with
2- Kinboshi locks in the number
3- We start to bid

Ex

I say 5 women, you say 10, I say 20, you say 23, I say 27, you say 31, I say 35 and then you say sell.

This means that if Kinboshi thinks it is 35 or higher then I win and if he thinks its 34 or less than you win.

Ok, so checking now on VPP calculator if I play 4 tables of 200nl 35 hours a week and then 2 tables of 100nl 17.5 hours a week and 2 tables of 500nl 17.5 hours a week. That would mean..

I would make..

75k vpps per week from 200nl
13k a week from 100nl
23k a week from 500nl

So 117k a week. I need to make 1,000,000 a year to hit Supernova Elite. Anyway with this projection the calculator tells me

"YOUR 2014 VIP REWARDS: $141,600"

So now lets look at win rates.

If I can win at 2bb-100 at 200nl I expect to play

250 (hph) x 4 (tables) x 35 (hours per week) x 52 (weeks in year) - 1820000 hands total.

This would make a total of 72800 profit for 200nl


If I can win at 4bb-100 at 100nl I expect to play

250 x 2 x 17.5 x 52 - 455000

This would make a total of 18200 profit for 100nl

If I can win at 1bb-100 at 500nl I expect to play

250 x 2 x 17.5 x 52 - 455000

This would make a total of 22750

Meaning a total of 141,000  (rakeback and bonuses) plus 72800 (200nl winnings) plus 18200 (100nl winnings) plus 22750 (500nl winnings)

This would equal 254750. My true win rate at 200nl is over 5bb, somewhere around 7bb-100 meaning the 200nl profits could potentially be over 100,000 but I wont want to overestimate as there will be times Im playing when Im ill etc.

The year after is the big year because you then have 80% rakeback for the whole year and I would play 4 500 and 2 200 and expect the number to be a lot bigger.

Funny thing is. on Pokerstrategy you said your ambition this year 2013 was to win $100,000 which is much less than you won in 2012. You won $27k in the first month of that $100k 'challenge' - no updates since then so don't know how thats going.

Ok lol you can have all the action that's fine! The maximum is 50/150kmbut assume you don't want all of that, whatever you want we will both escrow.

I moved to Spain the second month of that and poker was illegal and thus playing via a VPN where a lot of guys who are haters waiting to send a message to support. A friend had 20,000 confiscated and ofc I didn't want that.

Im now in a country where it's currently legal and I'm posting how much I play /win/lose every day and I'm very transparent about it all. Over the last 3 months I have been very demotivated to play playing very few hours and thus not putting volume in. Sne forces me to do that and if I can make the projected winnings stated in the thread nd take upto 150k off you that would feel great too!

The bet won't be live till January 1st and will be able to stop it up to December 31st. As I've stated itt I'm planning on practicing to put the volume in before then.

And of course it's not as easy to make money in poker anymore. I remember one night playing 5 tables of 2knl and having over 20k on the tables I played a 6 hour session then didn't play again for 3 weeks and there was no 2kml running and playing 200 and 400 I was super unmotivated as it felt small when in reality the money is still too. the way I want to be now is way way different to that. I want to have a happy life using poker as a low variance job that I put a tonne of hours in and if somehow I can make 240k tax free then happy days. If I break even and make 140k that's perfectly fine too. If I fail to do it then it might be time to get a real job.

Generally in zoom you'll play around 35k hands per week the graph I posted n my most recent video is a 100k sample with a steady curve up to 20k having 5k winning and losing days doesn't appeal to me, previously it massively did.

You always seem to pull these remarks though. I'm not sure where you get the 250k sterling wage or profits from. Probably 2 people in the world know my "wage" and less know my profits. I'm obviously being very open with them recently and over the last 100k hands I'm up over 20k which has been the norm whenever I've put in grinding.

If I coach in the equivalent of. Over 10 hours a week and charge of average 125/hour it's not hard to work out the maths though.

Again just seems like fabrication and I don't get it lol. I'm open that I don't play much PLO I've said I've played it before but v open I don't have a clue. I'm probably a losing player lifetime in sngs too lol but I've not played in the last 3 years or something!

Live cash I only ever play when I'm visiting somewhere like last week in the hippodrome but anybody who can win 5vv/100 or more at mid stakes is going to have a pretty comfortable time in live cash.

Heads up no limit is dead and the players are learning 6max more and more its just empty lobbies and I actually can't think of one hu grinder on blonde, which says a lot.

This blog is very long but I've been through it a few times I actually think transitioning between heads up no limit to 6max to MTTs to 6max to a mix has been very good. I've picked up things from MTTs that help me in cash games and vice versa I'm a more rounded player.

I actually wanted to learn mixed games and play them in Vegas next year but i don't want to feel your wrath!

As a side note for a poker player playing full time cash games for a living and NOT making 100k then there is something probably very wrong. Either they are not a winning player and thus a degenerate gambler or they don't have the motivation.

Well there will be a capped amount of action ofc but you can reserve the action now and cancel later if you want. Ill be reserving action from now till October and then escrowing and booking the action in the last week of December.

I posted the coaching stuff there as it seemed the best place to. I genuinely don't even remember what was there previously. I assume it was hu sngs from looking back. Another game type that is basically dead. I was playing non turbos and they don't even run anymore. That's 2 game types dead already in 3 years.

Taking your bets wouldn't really motivate me any more than if it was Alex's, Adams or,whoever else's money. Dollar is dollar innit.
