Laak Tight

We just caught the tail end of the action, but it's noteworthy enough to tell you about it. The board showed  , and Vincent Dalet had the action. He made a big overbet by shoving all in for about three times the size of the pot, enough to cover Laak's 67,000 remaining chips. The decision wasn't an easy one for Laak; we'd eventually find out he was in the tank with for several minutes.

Finally,  Laak talked himself into a fold, and Dalet couldnt' resist showing the airball  to needle him a little.

Laak is left with those 67,000 chips now, unable to talk himself into a double up.

On the bubble...

Sykes, Lisandro and Lichtenberger amongst the exits

Banzi still in but felted flopped flush over flush against Andrew Pantling...

Tann, Boerree, Tabhathai, Moorman, Abrahams and Bjorin still in the hunt for the bracelet...

Fml nice day to oversleep

He clearly has the world's most comfortable bed. Does he even exist before 1pm? I remember he massively overslept for an InsidePoker photoshoot and missed the chance of being on the cover as a result. I think he rocked up about 4pm.

Abrahams bubbles nastily

Noflops on Poker news:

Oh dear, oh dear oh dear, the weather is starting to get cooler in London but for Javed Abrahams, well, he might as well be stranded at the North Pole after this hand. Abrahams fired out 9,600 on the turn of a {5-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} and Ilan Rouah made the call.

The river was the {9-Diamonds} and Abrahams began going for his stack once more.

"Don't," said Rouah, "don't do it!" But Abrahams was unperturbed, he pushed out a bet of what looked like 15,000 and Rouah instantly moved all-in. Abrahams quickly rechecked his cards and made the call turning over {A-Diamonds} {9-Spades} but Rouah was holding the only hand that could beat it, he showed {7-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} for the straight flush to knock Abrahams out and put everyone else into the money.

After Abrahams left, Rouah said, "He could've folded."

"What?" said a slightly bemused John Tabatabai, "This isn't Omaha!"

Nevertheless we're now in the money.

Liv Boeree had fired out a bet on the flop before Lawrie Inman put out a decent raise. Boeree moved all-in before the bet-sizes could be counted and Inman made the call.
