imo once someone is up for nomination everyone should disregard the what is a sport, what isnt debate, and judge the winner on their performance in their chosen field.
that is clearly utter bollocks. if betty the lollypop lady was nominated then you wouldn't worry about the fact that lollypop ladying isn't a sport, you'd just look at how good she was at it? So by your logic, someone like Tiger Woods is not as good a sportsman as a 2nd division footballer, because the footballer competes in a more physical game? you don't grasp logic do you? |

-my post uses the logical construct if A then B; A therefore B
if someone has been nominated then we can ignore the field for which they were nominated; betty has been nominated therefore we can ignore the field
-yours uses if A then B; C therefore D which is illogical, you are linking unrelated concepts

Why don't betfair suspend the market as soon as the event is over? Clearly Tiger missed his putt by the fact that Tiger went to over 100/1 and Graeme dropped to 1.01 to lay, yet the market is still open until the putt happens on the tele.
