I think he's a really good player.

But for obv reasons I wouldn't touch him with a very long bargepole.

Reports are he's taking a wage cut too, it just doesn't make sense. Perhaps he's going to be in the NOTW in the next couple of weeks. If Ashley can get 5m he will get rid I think but will be a huge mistake, IMO Joey Barton should be in the England squad on current form.

Although I agree he can't be trusted I do think he is more likely to behave at Newcastle than any other club as he really enjoys the passionate way the fans conduct themselves and I think he really wants to do well for us. Obviously he will flip out now and again he's a scally but for once in his career he has a dressing room who are all similar personalities and are all in for the same course. I got a soft spot for JB and I really want him to do well.

If Newcastle can get 5mill+ for him, why wouldn't they cash in on such a unreliable player?  If he becomes the barton of old again then theres not a chance there'll be able to sell.

So Ridic if we sell him, hes in our top 5 best players imo, Carrol Nolan Barton Enrique, prob Tiote. £5m is such a bad price for what he is, and i doubt vmuch he would want to leave us for a team on level par with us, and no1 else is going to want to buy him.
