Hmmm I hate to be a sceptic here, but James wasn't mentioned once in the updates, and then suddenly appears in the top 5 chips?

I know pokernews are mainly interested in Ivey, Anotonius and Lederer but if James really has got that many chips its pretty poor reporting not to get a single hand mention or chip update for a guy with 3x average from a field of well less than 100.

Are we sure skolsuper hasn't "done a flushy" and added an extra digit to his chip count?

Whatever, well done for lasting this long and good luck on day 3.

He defo has that stack- i got told from a friend that Keys was low on day 1 and had amazing late levels, and same thing happened yesterday- so basically he was below average and then shot up both days at the end- which explains no updates

Well, that suggests he must have been in some huge hands, with prolly a double up against another above average stack.

Knowing how everyone rushes round a table when there's a big pot near the bubble, how exactly could pokernews have missed it?

I virtually never criticise updaters. I know it's a very difficult job, often relying on second hand information and getting hand details wrong is totally understandable sometimes. For goodness sakes I regularly hear players involved in pots get details way way wrong.

But to miss someone having such a huge stack when there's less than 100 players is really terrible reporting.

he got down to 40k after 3betting/triple barrelling and calling river jam w AJ on 3452x and the guy had 66 then won kq vs ak and chipped up etc won a big 89hh vs 63hh on some fd board think we had ridic draw actually endewd up winning with 9 high tho lol, then won J8dd vs QT on QTxdd.  Thats the gist of it anyway. GOGOGOGO

Keys was in the studio room for a lot of the day which is 3 floors away where the tv cameras are etc.  for some reason there were only 2 tables there but there werent any updaters there.  Sorel Mizzi was on the other table and presumably there werent that many updates on him?

The team in Australia is purely American/Australian, they won't know him.

Moorman 11th good luck to James & Chris

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Just looked back, plenty of Mizzi updates on Day 2.

No excuse imo.

I'm sure if you or Dana or Simon or anyone else from our regular crew saw an unknown chipping up, you'd do your damndest to find out his/her name.
