In sunny Glasgow next Friday, but you're more than welcome to come up for dinner. We could blow the whole lot on black pudding and chips. Would be incredible.
Never been to scotland and don't plan to.
Have fun

....but Jesus is alive
You forgot to say his living in Swindon...
think you're getting confused with Elvis.
Think ur getting confused with Ghandi...actually
Nah, def not Gandhi, wonder what he is up to now? Made one film then just disappeared. Strange.

That takes me back ....
I got dragged along to the Magic Lantern House, by some 'psuedo leftie' bird (who's parents lived in a massive phuuqq off house and had more money than a Conservative Cabinet Minister .... no it wasn't Luke Swharz's sister) when the film was released.
After about 48 hours of watching the Indian 'double' of Warren Mitchell wandering about the sub-(in)continent in some sort of adult nappy - I was highly relieved when some merciful Angel eventually shot the bastard, as my arse was in the terminal stages of Deep Vein Thrombosis!
She was highly unimpressed - as a deathly reverent silence engulfed the auditorium - when I blurted out, "Well that's fucked it up for Ghandi II then - let's get up the pub!"

That should have read had 23000 at 100-200, not 2300.
lost about 4k on float that went wrong, then lost 12k with AK v AQ on a AxxxQ board, then done the rest with A5 when I got it in on the turn of a board that was A 5 K 4. Got a comedy slowroll from a semi reg, when he called, I said, you must be ahead xxxx, no he said, and turned over 23. Oh, I thought we had the same hand
wp sir.
Sky comp tomorrow, sounds like its gonna be a quick structure. Should be fun.

Following on from Celtics trip to see Jersey Boys, it finally prompted me to take my lovely girlfriend to see Wicked.
I'd been meaning to get round to it for ages as I had taken the kids to see it last year and it is a fantastic show. As an aside I used to loathe musicals except the Blues Brothers obv... it used to hack me off in those old musicals where they would just burst into song for no good reason. But with age and the advent of the more modern musical... where they seem the transition from dialogue into a song is much softer, I have become quite a fan of trips to the theatre... even an opera or two.( madame Butterfly= awesome ).
Anyhow.. it was a spur of the moment notion Thursday night for last nights performance and I didn't expect too much joy getting tickets.. but once I get something like this in my head, and obv mentioning it to the said girlfriend who was now quite excited ( WP me ) I tend to shift mountains to get what I want.
I looked up a few ticket agencies on line... there were a few seats available but obv shite.... If you ever go to a west end theatre show , before you book your seats check out theatremonkey.com as they give seating plans and reviews for all the theatres. Invaluable to getting the best seats.
I tried ringing the theatre direct but the number obv went through to a ticket agent.. who said he could get me tickets but couldn't tell me where we were seated and he turned proper stroppy cos I wanted to know..' I'm trying to help you but all I'm getting from you is resistance and the longer we waste time with your questions the less likely you can get these seats ' was one of his lines..Son all i want to know is where I'm sitting FFS... WP son you sure got my money.
Came across the ticket master site where you can choose your seats.. there were a few dotted around including 3 in row Q... now row Q at the Apollo Victoria are the front seats in the 2nd block of stalls.. you basically have the aisle walkway that goes across the theatre in front of you giving you about 8 foot of legroom and the view is fantastic...They are what is know as the best seats in the house... What a fucking result I thought ! so I chose them and went through the process only to find you couldn't leave seat on their own...
WTF... i finally get through on the phone...
'Sorry sir we cant leave individual seats on there own '...
'Its for tonight performance..isn't it better to sell 2 out of the 3 rather than lose on them all?'
'Sorry sir ..company rules '
Ok i thought... fuck you too.. so I bought all 3 for the best part of £300 which including booking fee, auntie Ethel's retirement fund and all the rest of the shit they con out of you these days when booking tickets... There that showed them ! Yeah I know I got stung but I sure give a toss about money and I don't like to disappoint when I pretty much said we were going.. ( note to self..next time don't say anything until tickets are booked )
Anyway how balla is it to book a £100 ticket so you got somewhere to rest your coats LOLZ...
Got the train and tube in and obv its still rush hourey and the tube is stacked... i mean fucking groin to arse tight.... The pervs of this world must get stoked in these situations... I mean i got closer than 2nd base with a complete stranger last night..if i had an erection at that point we would have been making babies.
Funniest thing.. dude has his arms trapped at his side by the crush and sneezes.. he cant get his hand up to block outflying..and the bird facing him gets cum splattered with snot.. i didn't know whether to piss myself or throw up... as its England there was a deathly silence, he apologised and she just nodded as she wiped the debris from her face...
As to the show it was as brilliant as first time round and I highly recommend it anyone.. and was worth every penny. Seats were fantasico !....
The climax of Act 1 is the song defying gravity and visually it is simply stunning as the star of the show rises into the air shrouded in light.. only upper torso and face are visible and it is quite an effect... however the song has a double meaning for me as it was the main song young Holly chose for her funeral and I don't mind telling you I was proper choked all the way through.
So all in all a great night .. if you can go see the show... Its WICKED !
