FML, Mondatoo has discovered emoticons on MSN and sending me every single one. He thinks he is some sort of genius with his new discovery.

They call him "the professor" in Newcastle.

Being able to work computers and all that is such a massive skill, his only worry is that the locals think he is a witch and throw him down a well.

He breaks them, more than he works them according to his diary.

Had a fairly shite weekend, for one reason or another. Was crap at poker on Friday, had a terrible night. Went to sleep at 10am on saturday and was up again at 1.30 and went to Luton. Watched that guy do £150k in at roulette, then played the £40 comp. Was very up and down and eventually went out with 99 v KK, I shoved 13k at 400-800-50 and a guy asked for a count, he had 15.5k and re-shoved. He had KK lol.

The saturday afternoon comp is full of people, who have clearly watched a lot of poker on the telly. It's amusing in some ways to watch, but can get very annoying after a while.

The way people are so results orientated is very annoying too, I guess, we were all like that once. Or maybe not?

can't remember if it was that comp coz i've played too much lately, but was the guy seated on my left laying his cards out 'for the camera' every hand?

Played the Vic's turbo £100er, lasted two levels, which sounds good, but I sat the first level out. I managed to win the money back in cash and left. Still had the hump from having a shite weekend. Isn't really a good idea to play poker when feeling like that obv, won't do it again.

A few things noted about the Vic.

Registered for the tourney, and asked if there was a 1/1 game available. There wasn't, though, there were clearly 2 seats available at the table, they were reserved for people, and they had been called. Fair enough. But 25 minutes later, the seats were still empty.

I then went to play the comp, I intentionally missed the first 15 minutes, and when i got there, someone else was sat in my seat. I told the guy, and he said, oh, just sit in the empty seat. wtf? is this normal? It didn't help, that the guy who was in my seat got KK v my 10 10 3 hands later. Luckily he played it terribly and i lost the minimum. Lost interest in the comp and donked out, went back and asked to put my name on the 1/1 list, which the lady sigh did. I played 1/2 until the seat came available, and told them thats what I was doing. I played 1/2 for a couple of hours I think, I'm still waiting to be called for the 1/1. I counted 8 people that were called before I left. I was 2nd on the list when I joined it.

I've also been free of facebook for over a week now. I'm not missing it. And no one has noticed I have gone. Some of it was fun, but some of it was just ridiculous. Some people have really terrible lives, or at least they think they do. Never known such a moaning bunch of...

Anyway, I may return in the future, but for now, I'm better off without it.

I know it's been said elsewhere, but I just want to wish Nirvana all the best again. He is only in his 40's, looks much older obviously. He is one of the good guys I have met through blonde/poker.

I'm not the praying type, but for those who are, remember him when you next pray.

Get well sooon Glennda, if, for nothing else, the Luton regs need your money Wink
