My fiancees father died suddenly 4 months ago
N she mostly arranged everything...
Under no circumstances was she using the co-op for arrangements...we used a private firm,a family firm..
It was my first experience too of helping and organising a funeral...
It was hard for everyone m8
But I can't praise the funeral director highly enough, very personal before, during and after..v understanding and really took the stress out of concerns...hiccups were dealt with fast and proffesionally...
Hope urself, dad and family are bearing up
Cheers Chas,
To be honest, it was a snap decision to use the Co-Op, it was a choice between them and a company we had never heard of. Obv, with hidsight, it turned out to be the wrong decision. Would never ever try & use the Co-Op again, or recommend them to anyone. The company we are using now seem to be great so far. Am confident everything will go OK from here.

Managed to get up at 7.30 to get to Heathrow. Met my dad's friend ok. Also on the flight were 8 members of the family who have come over for the funeral. It was good to see them at the airport, rather than when they turn up at the church.
Chompy's favourite band Blue were there too, no one recognised them except me I think. They did ask me to be their fifth member, I said no, I wouldn't have time to combine a pop career with working at the Council.
Got back from Heathrow, watched the first half of the Celtic game (We won 3-1), went for lunch and done a quick trip to the shops to get some stuff for next week, via the cemetry to see Holly. Was a bit grim, my mum is being buried 20 feet away from Holly, her new home is ready and waiting for her. I sort of suspected it would be, just wasn't very nice to see. Strange coincidence, she will be buried next to the mum of a guy I worked with until recently. Small world.

Just turned it over, now you have said.
Is it really a great prog? Not really the sort of thing I watch. Notice it's 5/5. The first 4 worth watching?

Went to Luton tonight for the £100er.
21 runners (sigh) and I nearly made the final.
At the start of 200-400 I had 28k. 8 minutes later I was out
Without doubt my most spectacular spew of the year. The damage was done with
. Raised to 1025 from MP. Flatted by Dave Robinson, everyone folds. I c-bet 1225 on a
board, and he calls.
on the turn and i checked with the intention of check-raising. He checked behind ;( The river paired the 9. Non-spade obv. I bet 2175. He made it 5100, with 11k behind. So I set him in. He sighed and said, I have the third nuts, I call ;( my 10 high was no good. Lots of history with Dave in these kind of spots, he knows I don't usually have it, and I know how he thinks, and that he will play back with nothing. I got it wrong! The rest of my chip soon followed, 3 bet KJ otb, and lost on a KJx flop. Shoved the rest with 75hh and lost to 88.

Don't forget Black Pudding, Irn Bru & Macaroon
Definitely a side that I have never seen. Will try and catch the other ones this week.

Sat down in the cash game at Luton for the first time in a long time. Had £212 in front of me when I checked in the BB with 63o.
5 limpers and me see a 5-4-7 rainbow flop. Gino, who normally always has it leads for £11 from the SB. I make it £24 and Irsih Dave calls. Gino also calls. Turn is
Gino checks & I bet £45, Irish Dave calls and Gino makes it £180! I dwell shove and Irish Dave calls for his last £90 or so. Both ask for the board to pair. 9 on the river and I scoop the near £600 pot v two flopped sets.
Lost £65 in the next hand with AK v 34... Decided that a £325 profit in 20 mins was good enough for me, and I done a hit & run. With Glasgow coming up and no wages for 2 weeks, It was nice to lock up a bit of a profit.
Thats me done at Luton for a while now. Spoke to George and discussed some ideas he has for Sundays, he is gonna post them up on the Luton thread to see what people think. Hopefully Sundays can get close to where they were a year ago or so.

I saw the blue plaque on the front of a house in Central London where JLB invented the television. It's opposite a cracking Indian I went to with Longy, Gatso, Mondatoo, Delboy & Simon Galloway.
When you think about it, Scottish people invented some of the greatest stuff we have. Englanders should be truly greatful

lol but when they were invented they were all useless.
Fridge; Too cold in Scotland to actually bloody need it
TV, but you couldn't get a decent reception with all the hills and shitty weather. (And it wasn't actually invented by a Scot as Edwin Belin (Very much English) was 2 years before Baird.
Radio; was invented by Marconi and until Stephen Fry tells me otherwise that's what I perceive to be correct.

This. The Scots like to believe and claim they invented lots of things that they unfortunately didn't - most notably the phone and the TV. They did however invent lots of other things. Irn Bru being one of the best, obviously.
Much the same as Vinny claiming that Celtic sang YNWA before Liverpool did. That sure is the case.
