the 'if blonde had never been invented' stuff is not even worth starting to contemplate.  my life would be very different now in lots of ways, but no idea which direction it would have taken - could be better, could be worse.

with the other thing, i don't see how trying to make something happen could ever make it less likely to happen.

with the other thing, i don't see how trying to make something happen could ever make it less likely to happen.

  if it was ever likely to happen (i.e. if a girl fancied a guy) I can't see that a bungled chat up attempt would actually put the kibosh on things - they'd probably find it quite endearing.

Of course though, if we tried to chat someone up and it all went tits up we'd probably blame ourselves for fecking it up, when the reality is it wasn't on the cards in the first place - if we'd left things be it'd still be an abstract possibility in our heads.  We've all been there I reckon.
