I've just remembered this, and would like peoples thoughts on it.

Man enters dtd deepstack, then sells %'s

10% for 80 quid. May have been 72, but irrelevant.

Man enters gukpt, sells %'s

5% for 106 quid.

Doesn't advertise the buy in, but states that first prize will be x amount.

Thoughts?

He has an impressive mark up?

Implied that people know the mark up for these events if they are buying?

Smae man Jason
fml cant even get my letters in the right order now. still cant post pics despite numerous pm's from eck n titbean
good luck to the fellow in my opinion. the firm does have a high mark up as well. as i give the wife 50% of my winnings i am not in a position to sell a %age of myself (although frankie does have a swop, much to the annoyance of my close friends and travelling partners). if i were to swop a %age am i not better than 1 or 1.1/1.2 which seems to be the trendy norm. would people not look and think wait a minute jason is going for his 3rd deepstack final table on the bounce this weekend only generally gets out twice a month due to family committments but has a flag on average once a month  for the last 18 months on his hendonmob. no offence but i would rather  pay mark up on fraser than flushy Wink

Is his record relevant here?

Has one won of the events in the past for the record, another decent win that I know of, not sure of any others.

Lol I think you know the answer already!

2.42 in the £300 and 2 in the GUKPT

They are obviously targeting mugs or people who have no understanding of what they are involved in.

I think the reason 1.1 and 1.2 is trendy is because the top players who understand the edge they have dictate that this is reasonable.

accepted. is there a mathematical equation that people would use given known roi. so by the same definition are the firm targeting mugs or just giving the average fellow a bit of a sweat for their money

I think The Firm are giving people outside the normal staking avenues a bit of a sweat.
If someone pays it and enjoys it you cant really call them a mug.

ROI obviously comes into it but your never going to have a big enough sample to justify that it will be relevant to the next next tourney.

If someone can advertise and sell at 2 good luck to them.
Personally I don't believe that in actual value terms that would be a realistic mark up 99.99% percent of the time.
