Lost heads up in the 30 f/o Sad

Full report plz

sigh. I know why you want me to do a report. Will keep it brief (ish)

Played like a nit for 5 levels or so. Had an annoying Italian to my left, who would raise to say 1500 at 100-200, then cbet 300 on the flop, and 4000 on the turn. Was all over the place. Was like sitting next to chompy, but without the stripey jumper.

At 200-400 he just randomly shoved 6.5k utg. So i felt that with 400 invested, that I was fairly committed to the call, the only problem was, that I had 23 o/s. I asked him if he had a pair, but he no speak english, so i thought fk it. I have a massive 7k back if i lose, and my hero Greg was on the table, and I wanted to show off, and I was bored, so I called. He had K8 and I think he was drawing dead on the turn Wink

Fortunately, the other players heard about it, and no one messed with my BB for the rest of the night.

I then got involved in some dubious hands with a finnish guy, greg gave me info on him, which wasn't really info i could use, so I decided to do some investigating, which was ok, as he doubled me up twice. Which sure didn't tilt him.

Then me and Greg got told off for talking too much at the table by a crotchety old maltese pair. To be fair, Greg was being loud, so they prob had a point. Then the table captain, who thought he knew it all embarrased himself. On a A 22 10 10 board, he started shouting split pot, really loudly when AJ & A8 got it all in pre. Everyone was laughing at what a dick the guy was being, but still he couldn't work out how it wasn't a split pot. Eventually, we had to explain that 3 pair doesn't count, and he backed down. So glad it wasn't Greg that was trying to make a claim that it was a split pot.

PLayed the 6 max tonight briefly, lost a 25k pot at 200-400 with 92 on a 9 2 10 flop, got check raised all in by J8 and he got there on the river. Shoved 10 bigs with an A. BB had AK, flop J Q 10. No king and I headed home for an early night.

Dinner and drinks with Greg planned for tomorrow, maybe one more poker session on Tuesday, then back to beautiful England on Wednesday. Sigh in some ways, but great in others... Wink

i almost joined the scottish one in malta but had the kids for the last two and a half weeks ....was gonna pop over Saturday but my ex asked me to keep them until Monday..which in honesty was fine by me. Since the divorce i spend precious little time with my girls and any extended time with them is a Brucie Bonus.. We have had some good fun the last 2 weeks and spent a good few days up at alton towers with a couple of their pals and family ( i did offer Disney Paris but they chose Alton Towers...i was gutted as i was sure i was in with snow white..being the right height and all ) but a most excellent time was had by all and more special memories were recorded for future viewings with my lovely girls.

... plans are already afoot for a two pronged Siciliano and Celtic attack to malta in november so watch this space....

Celtic & Gregorgeous made me speak to Siggys girlfriend on the phone last night... lucky I already have a young lady as she would have def pulled and the Sigster would have been crying into his tequila...

November is pos vegas pos malta...could be epic whichever way the dice falls....

Cheese Pastizzis are lovely as are the mince ones.

Bragioli is a favorite dish of mine in Malta

Also CISK is so good.

very under rated. I'm not a big drinker, but i enjoy Cisk, more than any other lager.

Not sure about this! It's alrightish.

Vin can you warn them that I land on the 24/11 Wink

Ok Stu, I'm obv not an expert like your good self, so will bow to your knowledge & experience on this one. I just remember about 20 years ago, spending hours & £££ trying to get pissed on Heineken & Carlsberg, with no joy, then changed to Cisk & found it went down a lot easier, therefore had the desired affect a lot quicker.

Paceville have announced today that the Feast of St Hopkin will be held on 26 November Smiley

My dad is here 3/11 to 28/11. I may come out for a few days when you are here then. Big crowd going like last time?

Heineken and Carlsberg are probably the two worst Lagers in the world

Becks, Stella, San Miguel, Peroni, Birra Moretti, Kronenbourg etc are all so much nicer in my book.

I'm not saying anything against Cisk but I think I would struggle to drink it all day.

There is a bit of a crossover currently on numbers, as its a mates 40th but then there are also some of the normals intersted. Could be anything between 4 and 20 I think. Mr Keys is a possible I believe.

Your more than welcome to make an appearance of course Smiley

Well Carlsberg is the worst ainec tbf.

Not had Birra Moretti but agree about the rest, Peroni on tap is the numero uno imo.

To be fair mate, we had a much better time without you. So it was good you couldn't make it.

Love how you got schoooooled on the phone by Greg's burd.

Glad you had a good time with the kids, impressed how you didn't moan once about them, saw too many people moaning about how the long the school holidays are, and how they are fed up with their kids after ten minutes etc. Even at work I was getting it on the phone from parents, that the playscheme wasn't on long enough, and what were they supposed to do with their kids? I mean, ffs... spend some time with them maybe? Take them out somewhere nice for a day or two? Don't just try and dump them off at every opportunity? Maybe i'm being too simplistic, maybe I'm biased, I don't know. Just a thought.

Cheers Stu, will try and get along. My dad is there at that time too, think he returns on the 28th, so will see what happens nearer the time. Don't tell Sir Donks though. He might want to come too.

Last night in Malta. Sad but Smiley I've had a great time. Nothing spectacular, just nice. Greg was good company, as was his burd, was a bit embarrasing when he went to the toilet, and she kept asking me to take her out on Tuesday, as Greg is at work, but I'm a good guy, and I wouldn't do that to a friend Wink

Only kidding Greg, she's a lovely burd, too good for you mind, you must be, err, I'll leave it there.

My Dad was great. Gave me some money when I got here, paid for my flight too, and got me the car, which really was just superb. Fk knows how it got me round the island for 10 days, but it did, and with no problems either. So thank you very much to him.

He is on the same flight as me tomorrow, then he comes back in 2 weeks for a wedding. He has done a great job of carrying on life as normal since my mum died imo, even though I still think he is struggling, he very rarely lets it show.

Back to work Thursday, back to the day to day stuff too, can't complain though, 2 holidays in two months or so, and both have been great. I conider myself lucky.

PS. Vinchenzo is buying (coughs...)

I saw him Friday night and he seemed fine, he is under the thumb now though with Molly Maid so his browsing time is limited.
