Going back to last Wednesday, I had another losing session. I don't know what happened, but seemed to be involved in almost every pot. Just seemed to happen, this led to a very swingy session, the biggest pots were Q10>KK to get me even on the night, then flopped a flush draw with Q2hh on a Ah 10h two spades flop, led the flop and jammed the rise by an ep limper with AQ. Sure got there.

Decided to call it a night at 4.30, the final hand being me finding QQ utg +1 in a straddled pot & making it £21, called in 3 spots, then the button jams £95, and the SB shoves his last £105 in. He is in full gamble mode now. I make it £350 to isolate.

I'm up against 1010 and 44 for a nice pot. Sadly, the 4 on the turn decided it didn't want me to have a nice pot. And I finished the night on -£290.

Had Thursday off following two losing sessions, done a lot of thinking back over the last two sessions. Came to the the conclusion that A) I was playing too long & B) I had to change some of the starting hands I was choosing to play. Spoke to Alex on the way home from Luton on Wednesday, and although he blocked me from meeting Mama Martin, he does talk a fair bit of sense. Shorter hours and break taking ftw.

Took my new approach to Luton on Friday, and it paid dividends. Played for 5 hours, and set myself a cut off time of 2am. Can't remember many hands but left +£631. Pleased to get back on track.

Saturday was another day off, had a long standing arrangement to go to dinner at the burd's sister, and she made an amazing curry, will def be arranging another invite there soon. Had to watch the X-Factor semi, which was a bit meh, haven't really watched any of it since the auditions. Was impressed by Amelia Lily? Thought she was streets ahead of Marcus & Little Pigs. Then got voted off. Just the confirmation I needed that I won't be watching it past the auditions again next year.

Sounds like a nice weekend Vinny all around, I guess the bird obviously though dinner at the sisters was a safe way of her not having to cough up for dinner in a restaurant Wink

As for the X-Factor, just watch the US version instead as it crushes ours. Any one of the US final 13 would have won our version of the show and on the flipside not one of ours would have even made the judges houses over there.

I'll be back up sometime after xmas hopefully so you can get the Aroma in I can pay my cab fare in noodles again Cheesy

With confidence high, I went to Luton on Sunday for a pre-arranged cash game. Start at 7, can play til 12 etc etc. Sure was any sign of it starting anytime soon. Half the players that said they would be there weren't. No prob, I'll just jump in the comp and see If I can upset some people. I strategically waited for a space on Chompy's table. He seemed really irritated when I arrived, obviously nothing to do with me arriving, musta been something or someone else. He had said to me on MSN earlier that he didn't want me on his table as he likes to be the Captain, and he can't do that If I am there. Fair point.

Took three hands to get a bite, not from chompy, but some other guy, I called a raise with Q7ss, check called a K high one spade flop, check called the spade turn, and check the o/s Q on the river. He checked behind and flipped AJ, I said, I knew you had AJ. He snapped back, Yeah, of course you did mate, and slumped back in his chair. Wiiiiiiii Lighten up imo.

Busted out of that with a flush draw just after chompy had shoved 2 4 into JJ and re-entered. Once again I was luckiy to be drawn on chompy's table again... He kindly doubled me up before he shipped 2 4 (again lol) following a raise & a re-raise from the two bad players on the table. He almost got there to v AJ & 88, but he just wasn't good enough in the end.

I donked out when I got my 63dd cracked by KK, at least I felt good about losing my chips to the one person who was hitting absolutely everything, there was no way they were gonna finish anywhere but 1st. Well done Claw.

It was a great weekend Marky, cheers, And the next post I do will show it got a bit better Wink My life is great at the moment, mediocre to some maybe, but great to me. I'm a very lucky boy, in all aspects of my life just now.

Look forward to you coming up. Dinner is on me. Don't tell anyone else though, they will all want to come...

As for X-Factor USA, I don't know if I can sit through it, will give it a go and report back.

Eventually everyone turned up, and we got the cash game going. A decent standard one too. Got off to a bad start, flopped two pair v a turned set, then got the rest in with 99 v KK. Bought in again, determined it wasn't going to be a disaster of a session, and settled down, remembering what I had planned to do. A few good hands later and I found myself £300+, the biggest hand being me flopping a K high flush, and getting it in on the turn v top pair and the NFD, blanked on the river. Only other notable hand was my 8 10 flopping the 2nd nuts four way on a  flop. Not sure I played this hand well, so will stick it on PHA at some point later.

Finished +722 for the night, which was v pleasing after the bad start I had.

Happy days and glad to hear it. It's all subjective though isn't it and personal happiness is the most important of all Smiley

Haha I call Cheesy

Ah I'll put a couple little tasters up of some auditions as it's almost at the end now and a bit late to tune in.

Another nice nights work again WAL

Yep, they are very good, a lot better than some of the dross I saw in the UK X-Factor.

One thing I noticed there, Do all Americans look older than they are? Josh is only 30? The middle one is only 16? And the last one looks like he has had had a hard life, well, he prob has, but you know what I mean.

Lol @ Little Pigs. Sure you nicked it off of the internetz somewhere but funny anyway. Htf did Chavlisa come up with that name after a whole weekend of thinkage? Ridic. Forever to be known as Shittlemix or Littlepigs. gg.

First jam was 34 off btw, purely to get off your table and go captain another one instead. Then you stalked me there too. Curry ftw. Gtfo my tables!

Had my worst session tonight at the Vic. -£550.

I'm so fked off. Not with the loss of the money, well, I suppose that doesn't help, but with the way I played.

Found myself in some tricky spots that I probably shoudn't have been in, and developed a great knack of folding when I was infront, missing any draws that I had, and calling when behind.

My notes to my backers were simple... Played like a *****.

Had an annoying journey back too, left the Vic ASAP to avoid temptation of sitting and playing on, as had a fair bit of money on me and headed off in search of some dinner. Stopped at two petrol stations to get some ££ out, and both ATM's were out, so I stopped at Gateway Services. Managed to find a cash point that only charged £1.95 to make a withdrawal. Robbing B*******. Went into the shop area and only WH Smith was open. Great. Then headed up the M1 to the M25 and diverted to St Albans for a Maccy D's. Sure was open. Ended up driving to Enfield. With diversions and stopping etc, it took me 2 hours to get back. If I had just drove straight there in the first place I woulda done it in under an hour.

Not the greatest night.

Why did you need an ATM if you had a fair bit of money on you? Are you a big eater or something?

The money I had on me is the stake money, I try to keep the two separate, also needed to get money out to pay for something this morning.

Oh, and yes, I'm a big eater.
