The school reunion was fun. Ish. Only 7 turned up due to Christmas parties etc, but was still quite enjoyable. A weird mix of people, one who spent most of the night arguing with her boyfriend by text, they have been together less than a year, and have split up 3 times since. Won't hold my breath on a wedding invite. She eventually left to get the bus 2 miles to go and meet him in the pub he was drinking in. Another who spent a lot of the time talking about her disfunctional children, and how she likes to get rid of them for the weekend, so she can relax. Another who said about 3 words all night, and a girl who was no way old enough to have went to school with me. She was 30 max!
Had a couple of drinks and left them to it, good swerve by me as they ended up in some random club til 4. Another one planned for the Spring I think. Can't wait.

Had my final cash session of this period on Saturday Night / Sunday morning. Started at 12am after grinding the Xmas cracker for 10 hours, making the last two tables. Was a frustrating tourney, went ridic card dead for about 3 levels, then kept getting shoved off pots. In the cash game, I started well & was +£350 fairly quickly before having AA<<<910 & AK<<<JJ for fairly big pots. Ended up grinding a £250 deficit into a £662 profit at 8.30am. A ridic 19 hour session, but I really enjoyed it, and felt OK during it. Pay day for me & the backers yesterday, so everyone has made a profit, and the plan is to carry on in the same way. Really pleased for them, and myself obv, that they have got a return for the faith they have shown in me.

No poker since my marathon session, just been
dossing
relaxing & enjoying life. Sunday night went to Cambridge for drinks & snacks at the burd's friends. Snacks? WTF? Good job I had a pre snacks dinner. Was a really nice evening & everyone was very welcoming. The couple have worked in Casino's for years, and seemed a bit shocked to find out that I never play the house games, yet I play poker. Don't see how the two would have to be linked, but they seemed to think they would be. Suppose a lot of people that play poker degen the house games and other stuff, so might be a fair assumption for them to make. Dunno.

Had a % in a friend who was in the CoC final last night. He played awesome, prob the best he has ever played, and managed to come 2nd for £5400. Lost heads up to Fabian Quoss, so no shame in that. Nice christmas bonus for him, and me. Much needed.
Pizzled organised a last minute lunch today with his apprentice, Sir Donks & me. That pizzled runs well, first I pay him a £10 bet I lost, then he convinces Sir Donks it's his turn to pay, then he wins the £5 bet on guessing how much the bill will be. He even nicked my original answer to scoop the £15. WAL.
Went to the shops for the rest of the day, looking for something that I don't actually need, so that ended up saving me a few quid. Decided I'm gonna go and upset a few people in the £30er tonight at Luton with Desperadodonks & Pizzled. Donks needs to points to catch the current leader in the Luton blonde league. I hope I'm on his table.

Having often had the somewhat dubious pleasure of sharing a Table with you, Vinny, & seen the, err, range of hands you play, how exactly do you define "card-dead"? Is it when you get lots of high pocket pairs?

haha, summit like that. Was just trying too hard to make things happen, I did have a 7-0 win over RUDonkiing in pots played, disappointed to have not won by a bigger margin... Anyway, yes, they started to call me light, so had to nit it up. Painful as hell, I don't recommend it.

Managed to last to 100-200-25 last night, before punting it off with Q 10 green v AQ. Sick beat. Got the rest in with 5 2 v JQ. Another sick beat. Had a good night out though. The tuesday players at the G are hilarious, expert analysis from all over the place, about how each street should be played etc. Might go again next week.
Poor old sirdonks got crushed by Adam McGenius, He leads on a 10 5 4 Q board with Q 10, Athy shoves 8k with AQ, and McGenius re-shoves with KJ, donks Q 10 is no good by the time the 9 on the river falls. Me & Pizzled were really upset for him. And didn't cheer.

Off to play the £500er at DTD in January, been a while since I have been there, so really looking forward to it. Donks & Pizzled going too, if they have gone busto on the house games by then.
