Needed a live cash game fix before heading home for christmas, so since there's no games in notts on a tuesday, we all decided to trundle down the M1 to Northampton and gate crash John Blacks stomping ground for a bit of casual 1/1. Making money wasn't really the objective, as the game would be probably one of the toughest 1/1 games you'll ever see lol, but went for a bit of banter of hopefully to witness first hand (perhaps even profit from Tongue) some legendary JB spew.

Except for John playing like a massive nitball all night, the game lived up to all expectations. Was really fun, some great levelling wars, interesting hands, bit of a banter, and even made a few quid.

Made some big folds, folded Aces to Tom Langley on a Q43QJr board, only to be shown the other two aces! Folded QQ to Stato in a 4bet pot on AJxAJ which was an annoying run out and got me stuck £200 early on. Stato claims he had QT diamonds even though I had the so we're not on speaking terms now.

Biggest pot I won was vs James Tomlin where he opened pre from the cutoff I flatted the button with , John flatted the sb. James cbet £13 on three diamonds and I raised to £30, he called. Turn was an and he checked, I bet £55, he c/raised to £125 with £180 back. Didn't make any sense and just knew he had a weak draw or was doing something odd with whatever he had, and reps almost no value hands, and even the value hands he does rep why would he raise those on the turn as those all have me dead probably so he'd just c/call. So I shoved and he folded.

I just chipped up all night without really playing any other big pots, was pretty fun, had a decent seat draw and everyone was playing quite tight actually so I could open up a lot.

One thing that did really annoy me and I'm gonna rant about now is when this drunk asian businessy looking type came and sat down and snap said that me and PJ looked like brothers and then said he knew we were playing together.

Despite the fact that we'd been playing loads of pots together all night, me stato, thigh and PJ, were in most of the pots all night in fact, it's just totally retarded to say that and really wound me up. It's like how Boba Fett said in that other thread - it's the older guys that know all the tricks about colluding and softplay, that's why they "know" what to look out for, because they do it themselves. I haven't even got a clue how I would collude, I've never even thought about it, and all the guys around my age are the same. It's just not in our nature at all to cheat or do anything other than play really hard against each other.

Like when PJ and Tom made that online FT and got 3handed and were playing in the same house. It would never even cross their minds to cheat, and but no-one over 25 seems to believe that, whereas all of us are the same - we'd just wanna own the other one and knock him out in 3rd and take it down for personal glory! It's just not in our nature at all. I'm not tooting our horn, saying we're stand up blokes, just come on a night out with us! I got overpaid by a casino recently by £100 and never said a word, don't mind admitting that, I'm no angel, but this colluding nonsense is just total bollocks.

/rant

Won £300 in the game and was happy with that. Will pay for some Xmas presents which I still haven't got organised grrrr, lifefish.

i got over paid £1k by Dtd and would not have even known if Wadey had not phoned me up to tell me. Bought it back the next week and asked the lad if he was in trouble. Nick said that the video evidence was inconclusive but I knew it was not mine so gave it back. Would the cashier have had to pay for it if I did not return it. I think it was Kev.

If a shops cashier gives you too much change, do they have to put it back out their own pocket? Do Roulette dealers have to pay up when they do their nuts?

A casino works with alot more money, but the staff are also alot more well trained and trusted. Yes they will get in trouble, but salary docking is a bit much.

FWIW, DTD dealers are docked tips if their cash game float is down, so what I say above is kind of irrelevant to that case lol. It is 100% your fault if it is though so its fair imo
