Gala read this & do research, bannage.
They'd have to ban 80% of Gala Nottingham's memberbase then. Hardly think they'll go out of the way to ban one person for a relatively minor (when I say this I mean, it goes on so much it's become minor) thing he did when he was just starting out over a year ago.

There is never any proof for CRm to ban someone over soft-playing, but if they was to read this, which of course would be proof, they could of course go out of their way to ban them. People say it's not all that serious, but I am sure many card rooms would go out of their way to make sure that the reputation of the casino is good.
I posted not so long ago about posting stuff on forums and other media, it just gets you into trouble, should have kept story off here, imo.

Well as Alex wasn't there it is just heresay.
(Apologies if I get any of this wrong) There was a hand I seem to recall in an old High Stakes Poker episode where Mike Matusow had been warned that his sponsorship was under threat if he didn't do well on TV and he was short of money, so he borrowed a buy-in off Phil Hellmuth. Hellmuth then bluffed him with 72 and got Matusow to fold Kings because he couldn't risk getting felted.
Hellmuth was the only one who knew and had essentially targeted a player specifically because of the knowledge he had. Had he folded the 72 to the open, he would have been soft playing because he had information about a player he had lent money to that he could use to his advantage and where he knew there was a high chance Matusow couldn't call.
And yet Hellmuth was roundly criticised for his play.
Regular cash games are little soap operas with more plots and subplots than a field of allotments. Soft playing is a real shame but it happens. I was at a tournament final table earlier this year (in before "call") where there were five players left and three of them were mates and wouldn't play a hand against each other. If you think something is going on, you either report it or use it to your advantage.
I've never subscribed to the ignorance defence when it comes to sharing money but frankly I doubt, even if true, this incident really impugns PJ's integrity, given the character references since.

Aaron, how is it proof? I've told a story about someone else. If I said "Aaron used to collude all the time in DTD" would that be proof?
Would it work for blonde too? If so, Aaron is a confirmed blonde troll.

This is in reference to an incident at gala leicester over a year ago that none of us except PJ was involved in. PJ had just started playing poker and was only 19, started hanging out with a couple of lads who weren't the best influences and so he didn't really know what he was doing was wrong - which wasn't colluding afaik, it was sharing a bankroll with them and softplaying each other in a couple of cash game sessions, which are obviously still wrong and against the rules, but nowhere near as bad as actually colluding (nor as blatantly cheating to someone who didn't know better).
That was a long time ago and he defo knows better now. Now he's like a fucking princess at the table

Right and if I replace 'PJ' with 'Aaron' then it would be proof against you, enough to get you banned?

Soft playing is standard in most casino card rooms. There's always someone who knows someone.
A few years ago, before I joined Blonde, I nearly ripped the heads of 2 young internet pros at Walsall casino who were colluding. The one actually used to post on Blonde. They were all mouth until I grabbed the one by the throat. Good old days
see if more of this stuff went on then kids would not call Asian business men douches. You never know what actual business they are in.

Not really.
You are a confirmed backer & friend of PJ, not really ideal, to be telling us of these stories.
I'd just not really add them to diary, when it's not really ideal.

Yeh agree Jason. There should be more throat grabbing in today's game. That'd put a stop to the name calling.

Well I might be wrong, but in my opinion the story presents Pj in a better light than he was being presented in by killerkillsbys mindless "#colluding, #softplay" posts.

just me being me again.
No one accuses Aaron of colluding because he is not successful. There is a direct correlation between winning and being accused of colluding and winning money. There is only one place that I can think of where collusion was allowed to take place and that's because the majority of people understood what they were saying and understood the signals. They never won so it was not a problem
