lol doobs yeh...
did good today, day 2 of deepstack 2nd in chips, 255k, 200k less than I had with two levels to go, but lost a biggie 99<AJ and bled off loads besides that.
Before that I more or less god-moded it, made hands for fun, including flopping a royal! Was a really fun day, would've been huge CL if I hold with the 99 but I would've taken 255k at the start of the day so looking good for sunday.
Excellent news, keep it going Alex.

I used to absolutely detest even the thought of being called Al.
Stato seemed to just worm it in last year and it stuck and it caught on now everyone seems to use it. I've had to just get used to it and don't really mind it now.
I was called by my surname all through school and actually prefer that but nobody calls me that now.

I call Tony 'Tone' btw. It's a term of endearment, but I bet he hates it.
It could be worse mind. I could call him 'Ant'

Funnily enough, there's a horse in the Grand National today called "Weird Al".
Surely it's fate...

Ha.
No, I'm not mad on "Tone", but I like the way you mean it, it feels warm.
It is astonishing how many people address me as "tikay". I talk to my Boss at work every single day, usually several times, & I've been there 7 years, & has never addressed me as anything other than "tikay".
When someone addresses me as "Tony", (Ralph, for example, always does) I sort of feel comfortable that I'm with someone I have known a very long time.

Hi mate, just a quick question;
If a theoretical poker club, lets call it 'sun up til sun down' was your local club, and it eventually got a £2/£5 game for the first time in a while, would you consider it good or bad for the longevity and future prospects of the game, if one of the well known locals hit and runs the game for a £2k+ win, and went and sat in a £1/£2 game.
Just curious as a few people may consider this poor form.
Thanks in advance for your response and best of luck in the deepstack.

I happened to see this player and passed on your questions.
He replied saying he was in for 2300 and barely won at all. The game got shit and was probably out of his bankroll, that the 1/2 game was full of heroes so he fancied locking up some hEV and having a laugh with his good friends John Black et al and perhaps winning a bit more.
He wanted to pass on his compliments for the good questions, and that he's glad there is someone like you selflessly looking out for the well being of sun up till sun down.

What player? This was all hypothetical.
