@Matt, yeh not being able to get a mortgage has to be the most annoying thing about playing poker - definitely should've made the list. I'm still saving to buy a house or flat, but it's taking a while with house prices in London and having all sorts of setbacks such as not winning $8m in the main this year. Buying a house is  no1 financial goal pretty much though.

Never checked my credit score, sure you can guess at it, don't mind checking so long as it's not a tedious process.

No thoughts about retirement. Hope I've won and saved up enough I guess / Victoria's contributions help. Long way away that though! Should I stick with poker for all those years, I Imagine it won't be a retirement more like a cutting down and like you say keeping it as a hobby.

Hi Alex

While you are still young and no doubt feel it, retirement/middle age comes up much quicker than you think. Priorities also change once kids comes along. I used to work all hours, mostly unsociable ones too, but once the little uns come along priorities change.

Have you thought about buying a cheap flat somewhere and renting it out? It could give you a foothold on the property ladder and a lot of sway for your credit rating and potential mortgage rate in future years.

Most won/given away in a swop?

Do you tell Victoria or family results of big sessions win or lose, tournaments can't be hidden but monetary amounts in cash games?

And finally biggest win/loss in a single cash game session?

Haha funny timing.

Last night had my biggest winning cash session, by three times   Pretty ridic.

Just like I was knocking on the door for a big losing session at these stakes and that came in May, I felt like I'd never had a big winning session either, but didn't expect it to be quite like last night - was sick. Going out tonight to celebrate Smiley Not going into amounts sorry, can pm me if you want.

Biggest win now> Biggest loss though which is a relief!

Best swap = 10% of Deadman in HPO win. Probs swapped out 10-20 during my WPT Prague win in 2014 can't remember but all in small pieces obv.

Victoria and I very open about everything, she understands the swings, the stakes I play and knows all my results, I like it like that. With family don't discuss much, and don't go into amounts but do share on occasions like last night the fact that I had an unusually good night.

Bah! It spoils it somewhat when you don't post figures, although I totally understand why.

PM all of us imo.

Pleased to hear that your biggest win is now > than your biggest loss.

Give us a clue: five figures or six?

Five! I mentioned the blinds/straddles in the games so no1s winning 100k+ in a session with those blinds!

Saw a well known UK player win £130k in a 10/25 game at the pb once lol

To forestall speculation, I want to make it clear that was not me.

I got in 24,000 pre flop in a 10/25 game in Vegas against a huge rock from the Uk. Obviously both had aces probably should have just peeled and freeroll bluffed every street 😂

Remember back in the day when the sportsman was flavour of the month, a well know older cypriot cash game player lost £180k pot and still came out a winner one particular evening allegedly!
