Mitch took his first shot at 2/5 when his roll hit the quarter milly but that was to compensate for food variance too.

Food variance? Are you suggesting that food is not simply a linear function of time? (Granted with mitch the coefficient is much larger than your average human)

20BIs live is definitely enough for 50/1 - your winrate is so massive (40BB/100 IS IT). I would say the 15 is ok even. 1/2 the skill level is not much higher in the capped games so I think 20-25 is fine. I dont have much experience with 2/5 so can't really say. As I said I was guessing before, but sure, there are better players there, so you probs need 30-40.

Mitch took his first shot at 2/5 when his roll hit the quarter milly but that was to compensate for food variance too.

After some quick calculations, the free food on VIP games at DeeTeeDee has saved me.

LOTS OF MONIES!

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I would say you need £25k to play the 2/5 at DTD, or £2.5billion if Rob is playing regularly.

Tbh, i think the roll you probably need for the same game at other places is way lower. The prob at dtd imo is that there arent a great deal of 'mid stakes' players. Everyone is either more comfortable playing capped 1/2 or wants to play 5/10. The amount of players who play there regularly who would consider 2/5 as their correct level of game is quite small, maybe like 10 people, but others play when the game runs because thats whats on offer.

Then the next problem is that everyone wants to straddle in the 5/10 so it plays like £10/£20, so its hard for people to move through the stakes.

Definitely the correct grammar, here (and to think you bluffed the entire forum into thinking you were posh.)

Had last session of the month last night, going home to cambridge today to stay with my family until tuesday. Hannah is flying in from Germany tomorrow booooom. Will be good to have a break as have had like one day off poker in 3weeks!

Was put into the 2/5 game at DTD last night, staked for two £1k bullets with 50/50 deal, no makeup. Pretty sick opportunity and was really looking forward to it. Didn't get a seat until midnight and unfortunately the game broke by 2. Have to admit, was fairly shaky in my first half an hour.  For most of the session it was 6 handed with pretty much all regs 2 of which are very good, the others, I would say I had a decent edge over. Was in position to Will Fry who was being very aggressive and somewhat spewy so had a good seat. He kept Mitch in his cage all night.

Didn't get a hand for first 45minutes, then played Aces. 5bet Fry pre from the SB to £275. Cbet £225 on 568two diamond board, and because only had £475 back was gonna have to call a shove but he snap folded.

Hero called Fry off with J high to a pot sized river bet and was good also wiiii. HH is much less glamorous but sounds better like that so I'll just leave it.

Made another bigish call vs Fry with   on   three diamonds he bet £175 on the river into a pot of £180. Thought 3purrs was a pretty good hand so called and was good. Had    vs Giblins   X on   for a smallish pot that probs could've been bigger if Neil hadn't checked the flop behind sighhh.

Other than that, was pretty card dead, but also played pretty snug. Felt really comfortable by the end and was a shame to see the game break. Was up £783 in those 2 hours which I was happy with. Hope to get another shot at those games, tonight was a good start.

It sure is funny Mitch telling people I won 2k and that I'm trying to Blatch my backer. Tongue

3 Solid days without poker...going strong! I think breaks are really good for your game. Whenever I go a long period of time without a few days off, I always feel myself starting to make mistakes and not playing optimally. Mostly it's been a complete poker break but I've been doing a bit of PHA and of course railing the almighty Keys in the Aussie Millions. What a story. I wonder what it's like to have to give away like 70% of 1.1million AUD. Pretty sick for everyone that staked him.

Anyway it's been good going back to my Dad's house just outside of Cambridge and getting out of the bubble. Not that my family life is particularly normal, but it certainly feels more normal that life in nottingham. Always good to keep a perspective on how the whole world works rather than just a minute part of it.

Getting less and less scathing comments from family about poker these days which is always nice. Dad has a new girlfriend who seems to be constantly around which really pisses me off. My parents only got divorced like a year ago and this new woman on the scene is basically the polar opposite to my Mum and I don't like it. My mum cooks awesome apple crumble and the other day this lady attempted to make one which was an epic failure. Having 3 sons made my Mum really into football and other boyish things and I always liked it when she joined in watching match of the day or talking about football etc. Yesterday this lady asked us if Match of the day had Tennis on as well. Fml.

I don't mean to be personal here, so please don't take offence, but after a recent split the last person you dad will be looking for is another of your mum!

Also your mum will always be amazing, and Gordon Ramseys apple crumble wouldn't get 5/10 because mums is always amazing ainec
