Left Andy and Tom in bit of a pickle with Holly, she's infested with fleas and they're all over the house. It's a right pain but I'm just about to fly to Greece so can't really deal with it.
The trips not started off well, had to fork out 40quid for boarding passes (DIAGF ryanair) which admittedly was my own fault, taxi didnt turn up and lost the breakfast flip. Had to run to the gate and have to ride in the bitch seat n the plane.
Spirits still high and I'm looking forward to a change in the tides. And stacking Cos' relatives.

Invested with fleas already? Did she pick them up at your house or did they come with her when you picked her up? If the latter then I would also make sure she's had all her shots etc as I wouldn't be sure she had had them if the owner didn't even catch the fleas.

Don't throw the toys out the pram if you get greek'd in a pot though. You don't wanna end up a doner. (Mitch would like that).

Hmmm, interesting start. At first glance, we're gonna be spending a week in a resort in the middle of nowhere, full of old people, terrible weather and worse customer service getting ripped off for just about every euro we've got.
Perhaps, however, it's not going to be too bad. The resort has a nice spa, gym and pool zone. The weather is supposed to improve later in the week. And most importantly, we discovered the adjoining casino is full of awesome cash games full of fish. Yum yum. Since this is a solely a business trip with a few colleagues, that should be the main criterium, so from that point of view its great.
Not expecting much in the way of nightlife but who knows, Slovenia was dead and we managed to rectify that and turn it into an awesome week. Hope to have some good stories to share but you know the rule about what goes on tour...
First session- 5/5 Holdem, +910. Group win +2.7k
Day 1 tomorrow leggo....

That was jolly marvellous! Played day 1a of the 1600dollar main event. Organisation was an absolute farce, it's no wonder the country is busto with skills like that. With 15minutes before the tourament was due to start they were deciding what room to hold it in. It started 90mins late. Tables were 10 handed, i was in the 10seat all day and it was really uncomfortable all day. The dealers were woeful in every respect apart from their uniforms, which were professional. There were supposed to be 100 local Greeks playing, there were more like 50.
Thats before we even get to the poker. First 4levels were spent dribbling away not winning a hand. Half average. Got moved tables, ran like god for two levels. Double average. Final two levels of the day I go from double average to bus to with. AK<AA, A5<AJ, 22<99, 77<TT. All you can do is get it in good I suppose :p Seriously though, all the spots were really cold or just standard. Happy with how I played overall, made one bad peel in the hand I doubled up in. Peeled a 3b oop really deep [ ] with QThh and flopped a straight vs aces hehe, that was fun. Even Mitch criticised my peel! Other than that I think I played alright. Bloody donkaments!
All the boys still in though and have made it through to day 2 with decent stacks, keys got loads I think. Day off tomorrow and I guess I'll be grinding the cash the rest of the trip. Getting some beers and chilling on the balcony now.

Had a pretty sick day today. We hoped on a boat to the main part of the town, to find it completely fast asleep. Hardly a soul in sight, it was like a nuclear bombsite. The sun was shining bright however, and the sea glistening blue, coupled with a few beers and deep conversations - it was a lovely afternoon. We joined a Norweigan girl who was killing time while her bf played the comp, and ate by the beach as the sun set. Got the boat back to the hotel and it was time for business.
The 5/5 game was super juicy again, Keith and Keys were playing ROE so it was just Mitch and I on the table. He ran awful, I ran awesome. I got lucky in a big pot with
vs his AK where I flopped two pair and doubled through for 700.
Best spot of the night came when Mitch raised utg to 15, 4callers, I flick it in with
from the sb, the bb is a massive nit then raises to 30 lol. Everyone calls obv. So there's 180 in the pot and I'm using my cash game one time to flop a set cos I was sat with like 1200 and was definitely getting the lot.
binnnnnnk!
I check, he bets 200 lol, folds round to a scandi guy who makes it 700! Now I'm gonna have a sweat! I shove, the big pair guy thinks for ages and finally manages to realise his tens aren't good, folds, the scandi calls off the extra 450 and board runs out
and I'm good. So at 2.6k that pot eclipses my biggest ever pot. Ended up winning 1670 for the night. Enjoying the trip so far!
Though unfortunately K&K both lost in the ROE and Mitch did his nuts so a losing day for the team
Day two of the comp is tomorrow, keys is chip leader, mitch just above average and Keith shortstacked, hopefully they'll have a good day. Gogo teameureaka!
