Kept my head down and as the game got short handed, I starting running over the table and was in 90% pots and crushing.

Jus saying mate, anyway it wasn't hard when you and Ming had locked up your winnings by about 2am.

Trying to tilt it off and making hands doesn't count as running over the table

nice read again alex
thankyou
in a few years you might change your mind about common sense rules.
rules are rules and thats it. strict dealers are the nuts in my opinion and i tip them heavier than the ones who get bantered into deviating from rules which protect all players. it makes me cringe when players throw a call in not noticing someone raised beforehand then apologise and take it back and fold their cards.
also from a gambling commission licence point of view they have no option but follow rules to the letter. in reality this does not happen.
pretty big game that you play in with the straddles etc. but surely there must be easier line ups/games?
alex
I agree with you and David's posts, rules are rules, but common sense should always be able to overide in certain spots when possible/applicable.
Is like the £6 raise at 1/2, when I play chucks in 10, it goes as a call, because it always does and it's obvious, even though strictly speaking it's a reraise to 10. Overall though I agree with this

Anal letter of the law dealers >>>>> Dealers who aren't watching/in control of the game
In response to your questions about the game, yes it plays fairly big sometimes, last night there was often a £16 straddle and a couple of times the £32 straddle from the small blind! It's higher variance and bigger swings money wise, but it was by far the best game in the house, these loose 1/2 games are super profitable in the long run, way more so than a nitty 50/1 where it's hard to even beat the rake.

Poor banter, didn't tilt at all last night, was pissed off at the 1k sickout but played well I thought.

Do you tip well Alex. I try my best to get onside with the dealers at all times and can not remember one single time in Dtd were a trivial ruling has gone against me whilst I have been smiling at the dealers. On the other hand I have seen dealers intentionally trying to find any excuse to have a go at mickey wernick and Wadey. Not saying either party is right or wrong but it just seems if you have a go at dealers they look for any chance to pull you up.

I know there's banter itt atm, but this is something I felt I should share with you.
Went to see a modern jazz quartet with Beth last week, and the support act was a solo pianist. Pretty amazing imo, not sure what a piano player would think though.
Check it out here, his name is David Keye.

With a hendon mob like yours I'd expect most rulings to go my way

In the 2/2 omaha game a dealer once ruled the £10 as a raise after i'd made it 6, even though the guy clearly meant to raise, everyone still called and i ended up repotting and scooping the lot. I felt pretty bad as it was fairly obvious the guy just meant to call. I agree with common sense >>>> rules nit. I don't understand why the dealer couldn't ask for clarification before anyone had reacted. Its not like Alex is getting reads off the whole table by doing this.

sorry guy, just seen these. too late probs but every night is a £50 freezeout 10k chips, and a £15 think 10k chips as well. 20min clock i believe. cash games not great on a wednesday, but you never know, it can be dead one night then randomly like last night they can be really good.

I tip pretty well and I'm on good terms with pretty much all the dealers I reckon. The guy last night I thought I was on good terms with too, but to be fair to him, we're prone to messing about with those rules taking this piss saying stuff like "i'll see your ten and raise you ten more" so I guess he thought I might've been messing about at first and was just taking as stand, understandable imo.

idk if i told this story already but in LA recently I tried to call a $200 pf raise with
which I know is a bad hand but OTB etc however cos the chips are completely budget in the commerce I threw a 1k and a 100 out by mistake, my reaction was obviously a mistake and several of the regs at the table were like "yh its easy to muddle the chips up just take the 1k back and call"
the guy who opened stood firm "NO - THATS A RAISE" and makes it stand, he then pots i call (in spite)
flops
and I stack his aces.
Common sense and justice work together dont worry
