Think, if anything, we bad a better team yesterday. I was so lazy and had a touch like an alzheimers patient, couple others didnt perform their best. Think we need to get in mid season transfers, really need a keeper. Andrew 'the man mountain' Hulme was almost unstoppable (besides the 2 I slipped past him)

Decent day today. Smashed em at football, 10-3, 10-7. They're convinced the teams are even, but I think our teams is better. Maybe they have better individuals but we work really well as a team, and have good team morale and we communicate with each other better for sure. Lots of fun again.

Then we went to see our favourite DTD chinese fish - Ming - who owns a chinese takeaway place and said we should come down. He's a hero, really lovely guy, and loves the game. He gave 4 of us a takeaway for £20, what a legend.

Online went well. Think I won a bit at 1/2, played about 900 hands. Came 2nd out of 165 in the las vegas team challenge 20$ rebuy, dunno how much for but somewhere between 6-800 I reckon. Was fun.

Was winding down for the night, closed everything down (finished watching source code - meh) then decided to deposit a bag on xxxx to play this guy heads up at 2.50/5. Andy and Mitch were both playing him on seperate tables and say he's not great, but once he loses a buyin or two, he tilts really bad and just goes crazy. We start fairly even, then Andy stacks him on one table, and suddenly he 3bets massive on my table, I click back TT and he 5b jams 88 and I hold for £500. Next hand he opens, I find kings wiii, 3b to 40 and he just shoves 500 with A5ss, hold again wiii! Up a bag in <10 minutes!

Lost quite a buyin back with A5dd vs AK on K53dd, don't get there sigh, but won about 500 overall in the end. Will be back to play him tomorrow night i reckon, though will have to fight with Mitch and Andy for table space as word is spreading!

A comma day overall -always nice. #lovethegame

Alex, is that the "Ming" who used to play at Gala Notts back in the day? Plays quite, umm, loose.

Got burgled last night - marv. Took my month-old £700 laptop and my old laptop and Tom's PS3. Obv stato runs the best and gets nothing nicked. He thinks it was his fault as well (/it definitely was his fault) cos they got in through the kitchen window which he opened when he was doing the washing up yesterday afternoon. Pretty pissed off. Not with him, it's just really annoying. I didn't have the laptop insured, nor did I back up anything on it (only a month old mind, so not that much lost, but still, all my HEM data and notes/hands have gone.

We went out with Hannah and her mates, she finished her exams yesterday so was celebrating with her. Had a really fun night, was good to mix with a new crowd and have a change of scenery (back to the days of £1 drinks and cheap bars) and Thigh and Andy came along for the craic. Really horrible to come home and find my most valuable possession stolen. Well, my piano is probably the most valuable, but no-ones gonna steal that. And Holly is probably up there (she sure did a good job in defending the fort). And the Monte Carlo trophy, but I think they must've missed that, otherwise obv it defo gets nicked too.

SIGH!

You sure the laptop's not insured? It's not valuable enough to need to be specifically mentioned on a policy so would have thought it should be covered within your contents cover?

Any possibility it's covered by the insurance of the Cambridge residence?

Sigh

Nottingham appears to be out of control on the burglaries.

Did you report it to the police?, If the scum who did it try to sell it on, it should come up as stolen, then you might be able to retrieve it. Same thing happened to me,  Was living in a shared house at the time, Just got the laptop 24 hrs old, and it was Christmas Eve, I left my bedroom door unlocked, I fell asleep with the laptop on me and one of them came into my room and stole it.

Absolute scum who does this IMO - makes you think if it was a random burglary or actually planned out.. And yeah from now on I'd make sure everything was locked up before you go out.
Hope you get it back :-(

I read burglars often target the same properties/areas as they know they are doable. I imagine there will still be many times when you are all out of the house on the grind.

Obv if you don't have a house alarm system (speak to landlord, get one fitted? check if he has insurance?) get a loud dog, or get one of these for £20.

Leaving the tv on everynight will cost a bucket. These things run on forever batteries.
