Comedy moment last night.
Mitch has raised to £20, two callers, it's on Thigh, who's playing online on my ipad, he's not paying attention, says "i'm allin", obviously on his table online, he hadn't even seen his cards. We're all like "ah it stands" as a joke obv, the dealer gets a power trip and decides yeh it does stand, we're all like "nah we don't mind he obviously didn't mean that. The dealer's like does everyone agree that it doesn't stand? We're all like yeh thats fine, except Mitch obv, who takes the joke one step further and gets the floor over.
Danny (floorman) says "was it on him?" Yes. "Did he say allin?" Yes. "OK then you're allin. LOL. It's about £500, Tom is shitting himself and he's livid at Mitch. We're all rolling about laughing but also feeling
really
slightly bad for Tom, and thinking that Mitch is such a douchebag.
Trouble is, Tom has already tried to fold his cards and they've been mixed up in the muck. The dealer thinks he knows which two are his, returns them to him (Tom peaks at them, obv they aren't his cards, he's much happier now though!), Danny doesn't know what to do. Eventually says Tom has to call the £20 bet and can take his allin back. Tom is relieved. The pot plays out, Tom would've won the pot obviously - would've been such a comedy way to double up through mitch, and hilariously just!

Yeah bad one by Mitch. A joke is a joke but he should know once the floor gets called it puts everyone in a super awkward position. Danny doesn't want to make the "correct" ruling because it's so obviously a dumb spot but for the integrity of the room a floor person can't bend the rules just because "it's only mitch you know how he is" you can't have one rule for regs and one for everyone else and still run a professional room that people want to play in (see Gala).

imo the only guys who would bring in iPads to play the app while playing live would be the guys who are used to playing lots of tables and would multi-task well.... quite a lot of whom sit and watch videos while playing, which is much more distracting imo.
If they allowed the app I would definately be in the club as much as I could. Without it I may come a couple of times a week. Even if I wasnt playing online at the same time, it's nice to be able to rail mates who are playing online. Obv the wi-fi would need improving slightly as it's a bit of a weak/unreliable signal usually.

Just to be clear, i was also saying to Danny that it was all a bit of banter, and wasnt forcing him to go all in when the ruling was made.
The joke did kind of get out fo hand tho. But it was funny. And Tom did look like he was about to cry.

Sigh. To be fair, at no point did I slow the game down by playing on the iPad (after a couple of secs sorting out how to sit in tables etc.). Will probs have to learn to not shout out loud when i'm going all-in though.... which I do even when sat at home alone on the sofa (pro innit). Was basically only Mitch who even paid attention to the fact i'd said 'all in'... obviously snap made the rest of the table aware. Found it pretty funny until the point the floor came over and said 'was the action on him' 'did he say all in'..... sigh.
As it happens have Q7hh (probs wouldve got it in anyway ldo) and it ran out 8X9JT and would've bust Mitch's AT. Was nice to see i'd improved to 77 when my cards returned though.
Confirmed was on the brink of crying, throwing the table over and generally getting bad-ass with everyone.... I would have shown them
