Poker players don't get much sunshine. There's been many a day where I've not left my bedroom (or even my bed) until well past 5 or 6pm. There could have been torrential rain, there could have been blistering sunshine.
This week however I've made about the most you could expect of it.
We had a "sports day" in West Bridgeford just chilling in the park playing tennis, football, tennis/football, cricket with the usual crowd and one of my best only female friends Maria. Awesome day.
Then we had the cricket yesterday - another awesome day. Serious degeneracy creeped out of me - Stato and I were having £50 bets on all sorts of stuff - made the cricket actually fun to sweat - without any bets it would've been pretty dull let's be honest (is that sad?). I'm not a fan of needing gambling to make something fun, but in the case of cricket - it's bloody necessary!
Would definitely go again.
Interspersed have been playing lots of live cash sessions, with mixed results. Losing quite a few allins pre for £800-£1200 pots. KK<AA, QQ<AQ, AQ<KK and had 2 coolers the wrong way KJ vs TT on AQ9TA, and KT vs QT on KJ9K3 vs Ged where he checked the flop back which really threw me off the QT scent when he overbet the river....damn you Gerard Murphy.
On the upside, I had 55 vs AQ on 522AJ for a 2k pot tonight and won a sweet hand the other day where I had T9 on T969, I bet 95 on the turn and villain moved allin for about £900. Held vs K9, lovely jubbly.
So it's swings and roundabouts, overall I think the wins are slightly bigger than the losses so it's all good! Big MTT session tomorrow to look forward to now...

I've never played any game, or done anything that was so powerful at making you believe that you 'owned' it... before making you realize that you actually don't.

Last night at DTD.
Me: 'Lucian' (referring to Bute, Carl Froch's opponent in the boxing), that sounds like someone who went to your school Alex. Al: Someone in my class was called Lucian.
