Life roll is your poker roll at 22. No need to divide imo. Cos if u go busto but have 2k "life roll" u aint gonna sit around spending that £100 a week whilst doing nothing, so its irrelevant. Unless u have responsibilities, houses kids etc

the best strategy for a winning player to make the most money is to
A)take those shots and put their neck on the line with lots of self belief and no fear AND B)be disciplined to move down again when they need to...... kelly criterion(?)
unfortunately the nature of personalities who can handle A) cannot stick with B); people who can stick with B) rarely have the mentality to really go for after A). Most people are far too weighted towards one side.
only a few examples i can think of people who can do both A) and B) really well, most recently probably Jose Macedo. You seem to be doing a fairly good job of balancing the two so far so id expect you to be rolled for 2/5 by year end.
Having said that you need to create a divide between life and poker roll.
This is a great post and bang on. Other than life roll stuff Im gonna try Xwink 10buyin rule on i poker for hu plo. I will deposit $4k. The level increments on there are 2-4 3-6 5-10 10-20 25-50 50-100 100-200 What % of time do i go bust at 2-4 without moving up? and each incremental stage? Assume i wont play lower than 2-4 Obviously i should move down as soon as i have only 10buyins again, but thats not the experiment today?

The one thing that does make me laugh when people are discussing bankroll management and how many buyins they need for each level is no-one takes into account if the player is any good! I mean if he is shit then it makes no difference how many buyins they have! Not directed at OP as i have no idea if he is good
well said, winrate and variance and mt ratie etc should play into how you manage your BR. Also ease of reloading to an acceptable level etc. The younger you are with the less responsibility the better a position you are in to go for broke.

Not selling %s lol. I mean if i got to 50k, id probably withdraw 30k and do 10-20 again with the 20k but just wondered how many times id bust the 4k before the time i beat 100-200 for 400k or whatever

Sigh..... Already thinking like a sensible person. At what stage would you move back down after you made a step up? Presumably if you get to $6k you move up to 3/6. Do you then have to drop to $4k before you step back?

Also think that you should try and get two seperate rolls, a poker one and a life one.
Why not put $400 into a site, play HU sngs and every month take off your profit as your "life money"
This in massive capital letters imo.

Well u are supposed to move down as soon as u have 10buyins for the lower level only. Ie Get to $10k play 5-10, lose 4 buyins back to 3-6. But as Fallen said earlier, thats the hard part
