As usual, blond poker punter commenting on the standard of play at a venue in derogatory terms. Might be better just to say that it is a good place to play and get it quietly? Makes me wonder why several of you feel the need to re-affirm that your opponents are so terrible and you are so very good. Show a bit of maturity.
Enjoyable blog despite the above - well done.
comments were pretty harmless tho

Yeah - just noticed it's a growing trend on here (not just this example) to critisize opponents as if they are lobotomised baboons. Comes across a little bit classless. They may be poor players, but if they want to have a gamble with their £300 then let them get on with it in my opinion. It would be pretty disappointing to find yourself on a table full of internet players at these things - live poker is all about the punters

I find these kind of statements laughable! If players are bad, feel free to say so. He doesnt just say it when he loses, he doesnt say he played great when he wins. Alex in all fairness is quite balanced. Im not saying feel free to go all Jason Herbert on us, but ffs, all this emo "meh wteva" bullshit really boils my piss. GIQ can mean lots of different things, and for me there is a line. For example, you become a Full Tilt Red Pro - its quite difficult to GIQ - ok dont go singing at every corner you are the best player ever, but by the same token understand that it is a platform you can build from and monetize alot more from than 100% rake back if you play the game correctly
(fwiw - i dont know alex other than from blonde)

I just don't understand it really, when he clearly wouldn't abuse them about their terrible play at the table. This is a diary where people are supposed to share honest thoughts. He didn't call anyone specific out either.

I massively agree with GIQ, However there is nothing wrong with advertising that a certain field is softer than others, not something I personally do as on a forum such as this it could lead to having a much stronger field... But still nothing wrong with it.
Beaneh will never be converted. Live players are donks and online whizzkids are the nuts. I used to play online then moved to Live, now play 50/50. I think i have turned into a demidonk. You know i love ya rele.
In theory people can say what they want to who they want. In someone else's diary you would like to think it would be a bit different.
Although I am 100% against the rubdowns at the table, just don't fold AK HU pre imo...100% agree with Greekie, Pleno1 conveys the same sort of meaning but it a different tone.
GL at Foxes Alex.

I wasn't referring to anything Alex said, it was something someone said about the Fox players. Nonetheless the aggressive responses (GreekStein aside) were typical of what was to be expected on here hence why I rarely post. Carry on chaps - if it makes you feel good about your lives then carry on slating people you don't know on your keyboards.

its got nothing to do with slating people, I just prefer people to be honest, say what they think etc etc.
like i say, thoughts with a little description and personal comment is much better than "meh wteva" - its called having a personality!
Feel free to go GIQ and shrink into the background - glgl

Mate don't feel discouraged from posting on the forum. Guy in particular doesnt mean harm, he's just a passionate agressive turd.
Btw are you a reg at the Fox?

No - I've played there twice and it seemed nice enough. Nice to have windows when you play for a change, and as you say the fields are definitely beatable.
To be honest I haven't had the chance to play much this year due to other job/life stuff and I miss it a lot. I'll probably go to the Venetian deepstack if they run it at the back end of the year and play every day to get the poker vibe back!

as you said earlier GIQ means a lot of things. IMO Ivey gets it quietly but clearly doesn't shrink into the background. There are tonnes of people on this forum who GIQ but are at the forefront and great bloggers etc. What i am trying to get at is, Alex didn't say anything wrong, neither did Pleno, neither did whoever. Its good to have a personality, its good to be able to say what you want to who you want in the correct manner and 'forum' so to speak and its good to GIQ. We all saw how Adam Daniels was last week. less of them and more Greeks imo.
Clearly I am too neutral, maybe thats why i left the RAF.... obv not because they made me run around/do press ups and call little silver spoon pricks Sir....
BT 'it's good to talk'
As regards the typical aggressive responses I think only Pleno's was close to the bone. But thats how he is/his right.. Being 4ft 6 it can sort of be expected.
Greek has had enough praise to last a life time.... GIQ FFS!
