Sorry Adam, if it had been worth writing about I would've done.

Unfortunately the really good game we were expected was a bit of a let down. 3 lads didn't turn up who said they would and that was a big letdown. The game was still quite good, and I think I actually played really well and was more comfortable playing 2/5 than I have been before.

Got really lucky in two pots though - I called £200 ott with one out to CHOP! vs PLinton - AJ vs AQ on AQ5Q rivered the A to chop it. Then similar (though had 3 clean outs ftw this time Tongue) vs Terry 65 vs A6 on 667K rivered the 7 to chop that one too!

Coolered by Terry with 22 vs 84 on K6527, I raise pre, bet, bet, bet and he c/r the river to 325. Never folding, esp since he can have 2 pair as well as bluffs.

The two half decent pots I won were both in 3bet pots where my opponents made very thin river value bets vs me, and I called with better both times. The one vs Terry was the strangest. He raises, Gascoigne flatted, I 3bet in position to 60. Both call. flop is a lovely they check, I'd bet here almost every time, but Ian had his c/raising face on so I checked behind so I could get a clearer idea where he was on the turn. Turn was a three clubs, Terry bet 80, Ian just folded, I called. River was a he bet 150. I knew this was a value bet, but it was really weird, cos he'd bet bigger with a 9/boat or straight I thought, so it looked like he was betting two pair, vunlikely to have TT+ so that leaves 77 (probably vbets) and 6x, 5x, 44, 3x (would be reeealy thin), so I was really confused, but didn't see how I could be losing so called and he turned over . Maybe he thought I'd pay with Ace high...

In other news, Andy purchased a new car yesterday, it's a black Audi A4 and it's sooo cool! Really sexy and loved ballin around in it yesterday. It cost quite a lot, but it's defo worth it, so I'm actually hoping he runs good over the next few weeks to avoid busto city! Made me really wanna get a car. We're moving in August, bit further away from dusk too, so maybe I'll get one then. The BMW I saw in the garage yesterday was unbelievable. About £12k for an 08 one, dunno the model but wow it was sick.

Running a sweepstake for the grandprix this week. Basically out of everyone that makes it through to day two, you get randomly assigned 1-5 horses (£10 each) and it's a last longer thing with probs 700 for the winner and 300 for second, something like that. Raised £820 in the first few hours, so should easily break 1k, maybe 1500, so sign up! Gonna be a fun sweat and gambollll! http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=56448.0

Sigh day today, lost $800 online, then went to play the 150 6max at DTD and bubbled it. Lost JJ<A7 to go out on, but can't complain, didn't play great all day and got lucky early on to stay alive.

At least I won 500 back playing cash after the comp, but the game was pretty dull and I was tired so went home, about even for the day I guess.

This is not a blatant brag post or anything, like I know it looks, I actually do want some advice. Since both Monte Carlo's, I've got loads of friend requests on facebook from people I don't really know and I never really knew what to do with them. Some I sort of recognised, some I thought might be blondes, people I knew from DTD, played with before etc etc. Basically I a) didn't want to offend people that I see regularly by ignoring them and b), it's hard to discriminate, especially when people don't have many photos up, it's hard to tell whether you know them or not.

For months I've just had a huge list of requests and just ignored them, but today I thought fuck it and accepted everyone. Does anyone see a problem with this? Hannah got an add from one of these ppl and understandably found it a bit creepy...

you can set up groups of people on facebook, so that certain sets of 'friends' see a limited profile.  i generally don't post much on there anyway but generally if they are random people/people from sky they go on there.

does obv take a while to trawl thru tho and get it sorted but probably worth it.

Morning Alex.

You'll understand that because of my job, I have experience of this.

You are going to need a thick skin, & a lot of time.

FB is fine - if you like that sort of thing - when you can restrict it to your friends.

When, because you have developed a bit of a profile in life (via poker in you & I's case), you start to accept "random" friend requests, it can start to get tiresome, messy, & you become exposed to some pretty sad, & sick, types.

I would very strongly suggest you "de-friend" all those randoms.

Or have 2 accounts, that is what I do. One for family close friends and another for randoms and banter I don't want the first group to see.

You can always remove someone you've added if they post spam or talk shite.

Like others have said, restrict some stuff to close friends and family.

I know jake Cody had this problem in a bigger way and setup a 2 nd "Cody jake " account. Did not last long..

My fecking problem is mates like channing and Wigglesworth who I don't want to delete spamming or just generally talking bollocks all the time, but I love em both.

Just discovered Twitter where not only do you have to put up with your friends bollocks but thanks to the re tweet facility you have to put up with their friends crap too.

Friends of friends, or people who are members of the same groups. Also, you might have given Facebook access to your email contacts at one point, and so they can match those addresses to accounts on Facebook and then suggest friends of people who have someone's email address in their contacts.

Yes, defo this.

I have a strong accept no1 policy unless I know who they are and like them. All you get is people pestering you for advice about X or Y and asking for backing into certain tourneys etc. I always tell people the same thing if they want to ask about a hand etc. Get a blonde account and post there! don't worry about offending people who you know by ignoring them, just say sorry mate I didn't realise that was you! and go home and snap accept them, they can't be overly offended as you obviously aren't THAT close if you don't know there surname.

Jake should really create a separate 'fan' page for Jake the poker player, and keep his Facebook main account for friends and family.

But yeah, I'm constantly getting people asking for poker advice on my Facebook page, so know how you feel...
