Losing £1k in a cash game hurting when it didn't before is definitely a sign that you should move down in the short term because obviously its going to be pretty easy for that to happen a few more times before you book a winning session and then you are likely to feel exponentially worse about the situation.

My personal view would be that a good way to go would be to take a little out of your shares, get a sick coach and become a 200nl/400nl monster. The small drain from your reserves now will for sure pay huge dividends in the future if you fully commit to it.

Is being shortrolled hurting your win rate? (i.e. are you having to avoid playing games that are most profitable to you?).

If the answer is yes, then you pretty much got to release some cash.

As for the staking you are doing, unless it's very profitable to you, then would get rid.
If you are short of cash to play your own games, seems ridic that you are using some of your liquidity to stake others.

DTD Degens have been forced to play 2 games in a row today. The second of which is the title-deciding clash with The Academy will take place.

We've just played the first game, against a rather weak team, who were unable to score past the word-wizard Andrew Hulme, and Bobby "Charlton" Goulder made his debut netting a hatrick in a 20-0 victory.

We're sitting out for the Academy game which is just underway. Come on boys!

You have a crunch decider and bang 20 past the other team, why not chill at 10-0

13-7 Sad Sigh. They were better than us tbf. Disappointed. If we'd organised a better team whilst we'd been in vegas we wouldntve needed to win this game in the first place.

Oh well, still a good season and a promotion for coming second anyway.

Good Honesty as usual Alex, IMO I think freeing up some ££ is fine as you are disciplined enough that once you have binked another Monte Carlo (must be due one soon) or won a few sessions at cash will put the ££ back where it belongs.
Not saying this wud b wrong but fwiw i think u shud show ur professionalism and practise Gud BR managment with the roll u got building it up in order to take shots. What happens if u dip into savings and go on downswing, Cud easily leave u shorter than u want and then will u feel u need to dip in again. I understand u r a gud player and wanna b playing the biggest and best games and I am sure u will, but do it the right way. GL whatever u decide u seem sensible enough to make right decision for urself.

Unfortunately Im not even the waterboy! Unfortunately the only position I play anywhere near decent is the most solid position in the team. Stato is a man mountain in net and irreplaceable!

Thanks all for the posts and advice Smiley

I think I will focus more online than before.

Really enjoyed the football today, playing with Bobby was really cool and we had some good link-ups - chemistry still there from the back garden north paddock days!

Winning 20-0 was pretty cool too, scored 6 or 7 myself which was fun.

Took Bobby back to DTD tonight, played 50/1 with him, was really fun and a much better experience for him than playing a comp on his own. He's no idea what he's doing so not exactly +EV for me to put him in the game, but well worth the £60 he lost for the experience and good time we had.

After he went to bed I went back to play 1/2 and made a massive mistake in a hand which cost me £500 Sad Everyone had been straddling every hand, including Thigh, who was utg this hand and apparently didn't straddle and raised to £7, Kurt 3bet the cutoff and I was in the small blind with AK. I thought it was straddle/open so I thought I was making a standard 3bet, Tom then clicks it back, Kurt folds. I thought it was a cold 4bet and I shoved £500. Had I not misread the situation I might've even open folded the AK, certainly wouldn't have got it in for 250bbs.

So that really frustrated me and I didn't even do a sympathy get there vs his Kings! Such a lot of money to lose making a mistake Sad Live and learn I guess.

Anyway, had a really fun day and evening and really enjoyed the admittedly reggy game. Will get back to grinding in profitable games once Bobby and Hannah have gone which is this weekend.
