"....Then I basically just got blinded away and pwned by Tikay over and over again. He said it was his dream to play a hand that made the blog, but I really don't want to give him the satisfaction since he called my raise with a THREE AND A TWO. From the small blind! Obv gets rewarded with the 322 flop...."

My life is complete, I shall die a happy man.

I did "have a plan", but in truth, it did not include flopping 3-2-2.....to be fair, you do open every bloody pot, & I just felt so helpless sitting there watching you.

Alex very kindly does not mention me butchering A-K UTG v his BB, or my agonised nitroll with A-K in a big 3 way pot later.....

PS - Was a delight to share a table with you, you have terrific table presence.  Good luck in Columbia.

Man in deluded "young kid opens every hand" shocker.

It's amazing how many people say this when I must've raised 2 or 3 hands in the hour or two we played together! I went all-in a lot when I was short stacked yes, but before that I really didn't open many hands at all.

If you thought that was a lot, you should've seen me on my first table. The word bulldozer springs to mind.

That's wrong, Alex, I counted. You opened 13 pots in one orbit alone.

PS - what a fun & well-structured Tourney! Great value for £225.

Yeah, I do. That sure went to plan......you were supposed to squeeze from the BB! How not to play AK, eh?

Forgot to say - good luck today with the attempted Peejay Double Header. What a thing that would be!

I think, for many, particularly for those who have smaller bankrolls, or who are not staked, it is a good thing. It has its pros & cons, but on balance, I think a pure freezeout is better, & for more players. And everyone is on a level playing field now, which is good.

Yes I think the majority are in favour all though I prefer the reentry system as its an excellent pot builder.

Hard to prove, but I think the lack of re-entries may have something to do with why the cash games were so buzzing last night. 6 1/2 games at one point! All of different sizes, but even the smallest game wasn't that small and the biggest game was biiiiiig! Really great to see and if it's because of the non re-entries then I'm certainly in favour!

FWIW, I think the main benefit of re-entries, as a recreational player, is that if you have made a journey to get there and you run kings into aces, you aren't left having to make the decision of playing cash or going home. This is especially true for someone like me who almost exclusively comes with at least one other person, so the going home option isn't really on the table.

If there is a reentry, people play a bit more crazily and that can spoil things a bit for those who want to settle. That is part of the game of course but it's an observation. Rebuys aren't around much these days but they do create quite a different dynamic of money players splashing about on every draw.

I'd like to see a one hour reentry period to cater for coolers but which practically makes it a freeze out.

Why not bring back the old double chance frezeouts? Get half your stack immediately and the other half at first break if you haven't already busted the first lot. Allows for unfortunate cooler situations to be dealt with

Pretty strange day yesterday. Grinded the sundays pretty hard, ran pretty awfully and lost about $2k. Then went down to rail PJ and play some cash at DTD. Have been really broken up about Hannah recently and yesterday was the worst - got to the point that no matter how much PJ won it wasn't going to make me any happier, so when he bust in 6th for £4k I didn't care in the slightest. Also won £1.1k in the cash game, and it didn't make me any happier. I must've been sat at the table for 20 minutes total because I was railing PJ a lot. Just won 2 allins pre vs Mitch and Walster for a monkey each and it didn't bother me at all whether I won or lost. Strange feelings.

It's pretty good though because I was worried following another horrible email from my Granny that I cared about poker and money more than love and relationships, and I know now that that is not true. I'd way rather be potless and happy than rich and miserable. I'm trying hard to be rich and happy right now though! I think I've done the right thing in the long run. It just really sucks right now. My Granny was questioning whether I still wanted those things that she knew I once did - a loving family, kids etc. She questioned whether I still loved my music and things like travelling and even tiny things like my cat / kittens. She thinks I've thrown them away and there's nothing "normal" in my life anymore. Hannah was brilliant at keeping me on my feet and she was a great touch with reality, I agree. And I think having a girlfriend or wife out of the poker world is important.

Colombia could not be coming at a better time. I think it's going to be great for me. And winning over £20k in the week leading up to it means I can be way more relaxed about money, I won't bother about grinding if I don't feel like it, can live like a king over there and just enjoy myself. Really looking forward to it.

Dear Granny Goulder.  I think it's totally unfair that you think there's nothing normal in my life anymore, anyway can't talk now off to Columbia for a month.

I posted on here a year ago mates are for life chicks come and go.  Relationships don't often work a second time round but if you are feeling so down why not take Hannah with you. The last thing you wanna do while feeling depressed is be in a foreign country on your own.
