http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Segmented_sleep#Segmented_sleep_as_a_historical_norm
"Segmented sleep as a historical norm
According to Ekirch's argument, typically individuals slept in two distinct phases, bridged by an intervening period of wakefulness of up to an hour or more. Peasant couples, who were often too tired after field labor to do much more than eat and go to sleep, awakened later to have sex.[5] People also used this time to pray and reflect,[6] and to interpret dreams, which were more vivid at that hour than upon waking in the morning. This was also a favorite time for scholars and poets to write uninterrupted, whereas still others visited neighbors, or engaged in petty crime.[7]"
So, clearly, your primal brain is waking you up at that time in order to post on blonde, and then steal from her purse.

Lol, I guess that's it. Need the daily blonde fix. Haven't got rich from it yet though.
The "sleeps" are very different. The first one feels like a nap sleep, I wake up wide awake and 100% cannot sleep anymore. This is because it's 9pm to 11pm UK time, and I'm not used to going to sleep until 3am at the earliest back home. So this sleep feels like a nap. The 5am to 11am sleep feels like proper sleep, just want it to go on a lot longer! But got to make the most of the time here and not sleep so I make myself get up with her and just power through the day.

This talk of sleep, even weirdly patterned sleep, is making me feel jealous. I have forgotten what proper sleep feels like at the moment. Last night baby Vivi was up crying for the entire night, completely unable to be settled. She finally got to sleep around 6am and will likely sleep all day now, just waking every three hours for feeds. So the sensible thing would be for me to now get some sleep, right? Unfortunately the two boys decided that 6.30am was a great time for them to wake up. So no sleep for me.
I reckon I have dropped 20 IQ points through sleep deprivation over the last few weeks. Not too worried about that... it is the occasional hallucinations that are a concern lol.

I walked through the door at 6 am just as the boys were waking up. Got a couple of hours sleep and now off swimming because that's what we do most Sunday mornings. Would not have it any other way

Just got back from an amazing trip to Tallinn. Really was incredible. Such a great city, the people are some of the friendliest people I've come across in the whole of Europe and it's just so charming, great food, and the main attraction (for me anyway) was even better
Stopped off at my Dads for the evening, hadn't seen him in a while. We did our usual father-son stuff - cooked steak, played worms and shared our latest piano projects with each other. He also showed me the latest progress with his "Octogan" - a structure for the garden he's been working on since April this year. He has had a young polish lad, Mirek, work with him all summer. Funny story how Mirek came to be on the project - he was helping his boss install Dads new washing machine earlier this year. Dad was really impressed with how careful he was at not chipping any of the wallpaper etc when moving it lol, he decided he'd be a good hardworker and would be ideal for this project! Classic. The guy mustve worked over 300 hours for Dad now! Dad couldn't be happier with him and the project is nearly done now.
Few things going on this week- Football tomorrow then wednesday is Stato's Countdown champion of champions event in Manchester whoop!
Been looking forward to this for ages, gonna tie in a night out, dinner with rachel riley (when she gets back to me) and then hit sheffield on the way home for the GPS which'll be a really good comp imo.
Then its a quiet week in notts to prepare for the Prague madness which kicks off on the 30th

Let me know if you want some Melatonin Alex and I'll bring a some to Sheffield. I bought some a while back, but haven't used it for ages and it's just lying in my cupboard doing nothing.

No thanks mate, sounds like it could cause more harm than good if some stories I've heard are to be believed! Cheers anyway.

Would an Estonian local need a tourist visa to visit the UK for a weekend/few days? I wouldn't have thought so, since Estonia is EU, but she seems to think she'd need to apply for a visa in order to just visit her on holiday for a few days?

As long as she has an Estonian passport, then she won't need a Visa.

Stato knows who he's up against in tomorrows Champion of Champions heat...
It's this man Steve Briers
Oh yes, that's him.
This won't be their first matchup, oh no. They met back on 6 October 2009 at 10:53AM in an epic online battle, dubbed by many as being the "clash of that day". Epic words were exchanged such as DRAGONETS from Briers and ROTAMER from Hulme - the match was just as heated and intense as the pundits had predicted. In the end it all came down to the conundrum, which was to be formed from the letters MAYITIONS.
The seconds went by as the tension rose, but after a longer than average 4.2seconds, Hulme spotted ANIMOSITY and the match was his. This sent Hulme railbirds in rapturous applause and left Briers reeling and forced him into a long term retirement.
Full details of the match can be found here

Tomorrow, he is back for revenge. This could get ugly.
