Windows 8 is the nuts for touch screen but not ideal for a mouse.
How come ?
Sorry, I should have worded it better. It's just easier to swipe with you fingers than a mouse basically. I use windows 8 on my pc and I like it now I've set it up swapping and deleting the tiles about.
I've used a Windows RT and that works great on a tablet and I would def buy one if I hadn't already bought into the iPad fan club.

Interested in the idea of a touch screen monitor, wonder how well it would work for 20 tabling, any grinders doing this ?

Try holding your arms out straight in front of you for 5 minutes.
Now forget about a touchscreen monitor and stick with your mouse.

Not sure if the WPT National is going ahead this year or not, but seemed like a pretty big success so imagine it will.
Little birdy tells me stars are doing a leg there for their Estrella tour, might be worth holding out for that one as i imagine it will be the biggest festival.

Ive had a windows 8 laptop since boxing day, and I haven't even used any of the features at all. Just click old skool desktop mode and use it as a normal laptop. Don't know what the tiles are all about, took me 2 weeks to find out I was doing the long version to turn it off haha

Don't seem to have updated this for a while so a brief catch up of how January has gone so far.
I've played everyday I think, lots of volume, and seem to be having a decent winning day followed by an equally large losing day on alternate days. It's pretty frustrating! Still, better than November which was entirely losing and better than December which was basically entirely losing except for a couple of days.
Either way it feels like 3 months of no progress, no profits and no fun. Pokerwise that is. It's draining and difficult. Poker looks like an easy game and it looks like the nut lifestyle, but it really is a hard way to earn an easy living and the bad times really are horrible. And I don't even run half as bad as most people. I've ran very well lifetime, but it doesn't mean these spells don't suck!
Today I was playing cash at DTD and for the first time in forever I was actually close to proper tilt. The last time I remember was when I lived in my other house and I ran home from DTD close to tears! So it was before I had a car so probably 18 months ago. Pretty long spell without properly tilting. Back then when I felt tilted I could never ever leave the table without losing every penny I had in front of me.
Today I walked away with the £300 I had left on the table, and that's a big positive. I was in a great game as well but I was the value the way I was playing. Ian will testify to that...
I'm almost certainly going to take Sunday off (apart from the day 2 of the 10euro comp!
) because I just feel I'll play bad and sunday is the wrong day to play if you're gonna play bad! On Monday I'm going to see Victoria for the week. So I'll have a nice break from poker which should do me good.

Nov/Dec deepstack at end of 2011 presuming you've never run home more than once. Tbf even then you didnt seem that tilted when you got back.
Keep the morale high, you have to keep playing and keep the faith, otherwise that tattoo looks even worse! Sundays are so much fun, can't believe your going to one table the 10e comp. Good luck with what you play and have a decent week off.

Sundays are no fun at all if you aren't feeling it. So easy to have a miserable time and lose 2k. Probably best to just open up a few French turbos on the side. That way you know you are +EV and you aren't ever losing much. Having a blast at the Omaha is always fun too.

Build on the positive. You realised it was not happening, people were playing very aggressively back at you and you lost a couple of big pots. You did the right thing by leaving with your chips. It would have been so easy to donk those off. ( I know !).
Chips not donked are the same as chips won. They are the same. Take a day off,go to the gym,go for a walk in the fresh air, play some music, think how lucky you are. Don't want a miserable sod in the car to Deauville..........you're ;karabiner;travelling with Team Gascoigne!
