Egypt. Days 1-4.So after we landed, we got straight on it and headed to the hotel bar for some drinks. Every beer, every cocktail is all inclusive - Brilliant.
We were treated to a dance show from some of the locals who we have since discovered are part of a team called "Animation Crew" who work for the hotel entertaining the guests with shows, playing games with the kids of families on holidays etc. And are responsible for recruiting younger people to go on nights out with them.
So they didn't have to persuade us very hard to join them after the show.
We went to "Space" nightclub (exactly as Lion Rampant described). You pay £20 and get free drinks all night.
The club is pretty sick, big open space with a raised bar in the middle for the brave ones to dance on. A few drinks later and this was occurring...
And a few drinks later this was occurring...

Someone had to snap it for the archives!
The second night was prefaced by a "Miss Sharm El Sheik" show where girls competed against each other in a wide range of different tasks and got scored by 3 judges. Obv me and Fred bet on each round, over/unders on judges scores etc which was a good laugh. Then the crew took us to this SICK beach club called Pataya. It's set right on the beach, with 3/4 different bars, a main dance floor, a swimming pool, and loads of hammocks, beds etc dotted around the beach for people to go and chill. It's not what you think though, it's a massively religious country, and everywhere is policed by bouncers, pretty odd! Sick place though.

The nights out have go on pretty late so this has limited daytime activities, but we have three days left to fit in everything we want to do which should be fine. Had a night off the sauce (not "source" Verndog), and just chilled with our new friends. It's been so cool hanging out with locals and learning about their culture. It's a million miles away from ours and their beliefs concerning loads of things are just so different and interesting. It makes you really appreciate the freedom we have.
Went to the sickest place tonight - it was this "Mountain Lodge" carved into the side of the cliff by the sea. Loads of little alcoves and areas with cushions and beanbags for you to chill, smoke sheesha, drink whatever, and watch the stars, the waves, the moon. It's so gorgeous. And the weather is just perfect - it was so awesome. The kind of place only locals know about, we'd never discover such a place without some insider help.
This doesn't do it justice at all, but gives you an idea.

On the way back, we couldn't help but take the scenic route and check out the casino. Unfortunately (and ridiculously) they didn't accept Egpytian currency there, only Euros or Dollars! There was one 5/5 euro game running but we couldn't get our money changed so didn't play. Looked good though!

OK that's it for now. More in a few days no doubt!
