Sam Trickett is more Goulden.  Check raises with J9 on Q86 vs QQ.  Turn T.

Watched the whole thing was thoroughly enjoyable in a slightly different way to usual.

I thought Alex played great, nothing flairy or rockstar but there were no spots for it. Calm, smart, patient and disciplined. Considering was crack cocaine stakes impressively composed I thought....a very professional performance all in all.

Nice win too, great stuff.

I missed the end, but he was doing very well when I left.

Well done Alex, you've come a long way.

How did Alex get on? I was unable to watch it, but was rooting for him.

The stakes were high, even by Alex's standards, so it must have been quite an experience with that much of his (&, I assume some investors) money on the table.

Hope he won plenty. Such admiration for the way he conducts himself.

Yes, a little write-up about the experience as a whole. I'm not particularly interested in "how much", more "how was it?" & what Mrs Goulder thought of it all.

Yeah he looked very cool at all times n made the right moves
even when he had Kk n re raised if I was in the game I’d have thought he was at it with one of dem young ones squeeze plays ! Lol
but nobody fancied suited connectors 4-5 or 9-10 hearts for £12.5 k
Was the thought of I’m gonna look a twat on a live stream or the amounts of money involved that steadied players up a bit ?

I think actually those are quite "correct" folds in the context, deep stacks vs good players OOP... a lot of potential problems for you.

I think personally Alex was ready and willing to make the moves that needed making - but it's certainly not unreasonable to air on the side of caution in closer spots when the stakes are so high, for example you got one of those "fold sometimes, raise sometimes" spots - certainly wouldn't blame anyone for thinking, i'm gonna go with "fold sometimes" in this exact spot because I'm sat with £240,000 and I'd rather not get into trouble Tongue

I saw these two, and the 9T suited hadn't referred to wasn't Alex.  I am not sure if you saw them?

Alex had 4 bet with kings, and the fella with 45 suited was the original 3 bettor, who probably realised he couldn't call so much with someone still ro act.  The fella who had called the 3 bet to 4.5k (ish?) with T9 suited wasn't deep and running bad (70k total or so) so rightly didn't tilt call the 4 bet to 17k OOP vs Alex.
