Even better Tony. Was going to wait for the official press release. I am the newest member of Team Eureka

Well I don't quite know what that means, but I gather by all the "congrats" it is a good thing, so I'm very pleased indeed.

Remember what I said, only a few posts before....

Whatever you decide, you are a good guy, & you'll be just fine, karma rarely fails.

It is as unpredictable as the beautifully mysterious swings & swongs of variance, but karma is truly a thing of beauty, & I live my whole life by it.

As I'm probably the only one who does not know what becoming a member of Team Eureka means, care to explain?

Congrats George - assuming that means either a live or on line deal and up you'll do great.   I understand exactly what you've been through....the best analogy I have heard in the past twelve months is playing MTTs is akin the "bi-polar" - the highs are very high and the lows are very low.  My 13 months not working was exactly that - 5 figure upswings, well nearly a 6 last summer, and inevitable downswings.  I managed to live and turn a profit over 13 months, but was really tough and tbh the thought of having an income and for the next six months is very cool and loved my first day at work again yesterday!

I've always respected how you balance a job, poker and a young family - and hopefully being part of Team Eureka will support that.  Good luck mate and maybe see you in Vegas ;-)

Team eureka is the name of Keith and Keys' stable of horses, of which George is the latest member. So named because the first trip we all went on last February was for the Eureka Poker tour in Prague, and Keith won the main event.

Gotcha, thanks Alex. That is the Team you have just left, or were staked by, yes?

Keith? That is Keith Johnson, yes? Is he Mitch's bro?

I've seen photos of Keith, but he seems of slightly slighter "build" &, umm, "physique", to Mitch, who I would describe as like a fine wine - "full-bodied".

So Keith & James stake all the Team Eureka chaps, yes?

Excuse my endless questions, but I don't much understand all these things.

Yes they staked me from about march last year up until last week. Keith Johnson yes, and no he's not Mitchs brother (though i entertained the idea of humouring you for several moments!)

Him and James stake all the team eureka chaps - Andy hulme, mitch, Simon d, Mark mccluskey, Tom high and now George.

Close, but no cigar - I edited out the word, or intended word, "vagaries", not "vagarious". I had intended to use it, but it did not seem to quite scan, or read, in the way I had intended, so I went back & changed it, as I so often do.

I try very hard (when not suffering from fatigue, but I'm well rested today, so all zingy & zesty), to write decent, well-presented, Posts, with a little care & thought behind them, yours seem to come out that way naturally, but to peeps like Tom & I, we really have to huff & puff to write well. Rather surprising then that in my case I write so lumberingly & poorly, but it's the trying that matters.  And alll my friends & detractors agree that I am trying.

The whoosh would have worked, I'm as naive as Jason these days.

Did you witness Jason the Diplomat yesterday, calming down the Cos-Chara hoohah? What a change in him, (Lord Herbert), 6 months ago he'd have been pouring petrol on that fire, now he's a blonde firefighter.

Who'd have thunk?

Well I think it's a brilliant word, perhaps vagarious would've fitted better?!

Yes, extremely surprising scenes yesterday, I was railing avidly. The Cos that you knew so well, but was unknown to me, gave us a flash of his former being and Jason the badboy-turned-lollipop lady surprising us all once again...

In the airport now by the way, off to use my Tikay golden money Smiley

As it happens, it would have been THE perfect word, but in truth, I never knew it's precise meaning (I do now!), or how to spell it correctly without checking, so I changed it. Even on a two bit poker forum, we can learn stuff, & better ourselves, daily.

Yesterday's Cos-Chara thing, & the Jason intervention, had my jaw on the floor, it really did, astonishing scenes. As you say, we saw a flash of the old Cos. Many preferred him when he had his acerbic hat on, but I prefer his writing when he is more at peace with the world. Deep down, he is a very decent man, with good values. I think.

Lol @ "lollipop lady" as a description of Jason. He has morphed remarkably in the last few months. You would not begin to believe how many headaches he gave Tighty & I, all the Mods really, back in the day, now he is Fireman Fred. Incred. He still reverts to type now & then, though, oh yes, with his pointed little stirry questions. Wink

Have a safe journey, & win me lots & lots of money please. Vegas looms.

Is it considered a bit fraudulent to spell check words/ check definitions before posting? I definitely do it to avoid looking stupid. And by avoid, I mean, reduce the chances of.

I even looked up lollipop lady to make sure it wasn't "lollypop"!

Not at all, quite the opposite.

Tom always does, I do when I'm not rushing too much, many others do, I'm sure.

I have no problems fessing up that I had to check, or did not know, that's coolio, but using an incorrect word, or spelling a "new" word incorrectly, is the ultimate sin. Well not ultimate, but you know what I mean. Don't want anyone tacking the piss, do we?

Ditch the comma.

Try to avoid starting sentences with a conjunction.

Overall 7/10, must try harder.
