Yep, George's diary is good.

What kind of backing you looking for George?

Can I ask why your other deal has stopped? Feel free to not answer if you or your backer would rather not say why.

Mid stakes MTT's and live stuff if the backers up for it.

Sponks decided due to black Friday and the fact he's in Vegas for two months might have an effect. Maybe we'll pick things up if he wins the world

Any truth in the rumour that Liv has taken out a super-injunction to stop you posting the next installment?

Yes. From now on I am only able to refer to her as LIV

Hi George

i'm new to Blonde, enjoying your diary...keep it up. We met at the Irish Open a couple of years ago when a load of us had to share a socket in the hotel lobby to play online lol!!!

i was the one playing fixed limit cash (much to your disgust!) i used to play against you on stars years ago when you had the patrick from spongebob screen pic....always found you to be a tough player and top bloke.

see you around anyway, gl George

I remember it well mate! AllinStevie was grinding too although didn't realise it was him at the time. tytytyty

After our candlelit dinner for two, I ring Shelley and tell her all about LIV and the good times we’ve had. She laughs mockingly and says she is welcome to me. Charming!

I arrive back at my table and manage to lose 10k fairly quickly. I do however get back up to 50k sharpish when I 3 bet Kings from the SB and opener peels 45ss. We get it on an 862 flop and I hold against the double gutshot (whinge avoided).

The table breaks (goodbye LIV) and I get moved to another table full of Irishman who are tighter than a combo of Tikay, Karibiner and Tighty. There’s a good aggro German in seat 1 and a decent Russian (I know!) two to my left. I decide that I’m gonna be active (yes really) and lose 20k out the gate after making my 4th raise in 7 hands with 99 and running them into QQ.

The Russian then begins to 3 bet me at every opportunity and I run a pretty awful bluff against him with deuces to put me down to 15k. I am the greatest. WP me. Two hands later I rejam AK and get a call from tens. A king on the flop is a thing of beauty and after winning a few more pots without showdown I’m back up to 30k when the following hand occurs.

German min raises UTG at 400/800 to 1600. 15bb stack peels second to act. I look down at da ladies and make it 4600. This is where things get complicated.

The Russian hasn’t seen my raise. In fact he hasn’t even seen me call I think and trys to 3 bet to 4500. The dealer points out his error and he goes to fold and take back his chips until he realises he can’t and calls the extra 100! I think I have a read on his hand strength! (Unless he’s some sick angle shooter which I don’t think he was)

The German UTG now tanks. I’m praying for him to 4 bet cos I know he sees all the dead money in the pot. He flats! 15bb stack flats. Bollox. Worst case scenario has occurred. We’re 4 way to a flop and I have no real idea of hand strength. The good news is I have about a pot size bet behind so flop decisions should be too difficult.

When the board comes down 956hh I decide to just jam when checked to. Maybe not the wisest course of action but I decide I’m not levelling myself by checking or bet/calling. The Russian tanks for an age and folds with the two other players snap folding. PHEW!!! Back up to 55k. I find dem aces not long after and min raise. The big blind flats but German decides to 3 bet. I 4 bet small and he tank jams AJ. Small sweat on a K10x flop but we hold to go up to the heady heights of 110k. How did that happen?!?! I finish the day by knocking out Peter Barrable who had the pocket threes and cracked my jacks when I was on TV (did I mention I was on TV?) when he jams 20k with fours at 600/1200 and I hold with tens. I finish the day on 140k as one of the chip leaders and make my way to the bar to get a well earnt 12 Euro burger. I find Dan and Kev both asleep in the room and resist the urge to play some stupid prank and try and get some sleep. Adrenaline still pumping and with the day finishing at the ungodly hour of 3am I find myself fidgeting all night and nodding off at around 5.30am. Not the best prep for what is going to turn out to be a very eventful day 2.....

Do you beat yourself up mid game about spews or do you accept it as part of your game and image and rely on the fact that it gets you paid?

Bit of both. I understand it's a double edged sword. It really is easier playing as a super nit I think cos it's so much easier to level yourself when you're in a shitload of pots

Define weak. I adjust how I play to the table. If everyone is splashing around trying to give their chips away then nitty is the correct strat

Purchased my copy of The Mental Game of Poker today. I feel like I'm coping with the negativitey a lot better at the mo but it comes and goes. I'm hoping the book will help with the downs. I will report back my findings!

So I've started the book and so far it makes a lot of sense. However it seems to have put me on tilt. Not sure if that is the idea.
