We reach the cash. Nothing too crazy happen between now and then and I maintain my stack. Table breaks and me and matey wish each other luck and goodbye. Until we get our seat cards. him seat 4, me seat 2. I decide I'm going to lock up completely. He doesn't show any sign of slowing down and I'm not gonna get into levelling wars. I'll wait until I have it.
Matey then spews more chips to Lynn Beaumont when he opens J6ss on button and put her in when she 3 bets. Didn't turn out well for him unfort as the lady had the ladies.
I haven't played a hand for a while and it folds to me in the hi jack and I look down at

. Lynn is small blind and a middle aged gent in the big. They both have around 80k so I make it 6300 at 1500/3000 as it seems like a pretty good spot. Only thing I have to worry about is being 3 bet by best mate but he is wounded plus the fact I can just muck if he does.
Folds to big blind who asks how much it is before calling. I don't put him on much as I think he will defend light against my "min raise". Board is

He checks and I bet 7600. Villian dwells and then counts out a raise to 17000 or so. He has 60k behind. Now I never think he has 2 pair here as his two pair combo's usually fold and top 2 probably 3 bets. I think his most likely holding is ace rag or a decent queen and this raise is one of those "find out where I'm at" I'm about to tell him where I'm at. I slide out a stack of blue chips and set him in.
He calls. Very quickly. Oh well. I have any 3 any 2 and backdoor diamonds.
He flips AQ.
Oh.
Ok.
They had been calling the all in's on the mike. Dealer announces "All in and a call table 6" I say "They don't need to turn up for this one" The table laughs. Hardy ha.
Turn is

River is one of those slow mo Kodak moments

I wince. The table winces. The communal shout of "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHH" Villian looks like I've shot him in the bollox. He shakes his head. I can't look at him. That one must have hurt. He says something like "WP mate" sarcastically. I let him have his moment. He deserves it. That one was disgusting.
I play another hand with mate when he peels a raise. I have two black queens. J93 flop. I bet, he calls. 7 on turn. I bet. He raises I call. I then check call blank river but it is a bit of a sigh call as I think he must have it this time but I kinda have to pay him off due to him repping so very little on this board. He has KQ. This takes me to the heady heights of 450k. Guy who I believe finished 2nd opens I 3 bet Queens out of sb and he jams 150k. I call. He has AQ. This to take me to over 600k with the ave at 150. Board doesn't comply as it comes Ace high and I'm back down to 300.
