jumping on the bandwagon of the football team threads heres one for the team i love chelsea (or chelski as some affectionatly refer to us ;-)

will chelsea recover from this slump and win a trophy this year?

should ancellotti stay or go?

did the sacking of ray wilkins really make that much difference?

is frank lampard the most underrated player by opposing fans?

why oh why does kalou still get to wear the shirt?

and how good is josh mceachran going to be?

thatl do for starters be interesting hearing the views of both chelsea and non chelsea supporters.

please guys keep it fairly civil ;-)

A lot of the team is ageing at the same time before our eyes isn't it?

Carvalho has turned out to be a huge miss?

Apart from Josh Mac, are there any kids coming through? Has the Youth policy at Chelsea been up to scratch?

will chelsea recover from this slump and win a trophy this year? Might recover from the slump but the only thing I can see us winning is FA cup.

should ancellotti stay or go? I personally want him to go. Seems like he's lost his way.

did the sacking of ray wilkins really make that much difference? - Maybe not directly but something obviously not right within the club and may have something do with the overrall downfall.

is frank lampard the most underrated player by opposing fans? Maybe not so much this season cos of injury and him not getting younger, but definitely YES to this question.

why oh why does kalou still get to wear the shirt? - Useless runt. Apparently he 'trains well'. Marv!

please guys keep it fairly civil ;-)

I had a feeling Ricardo was leaving the Bridge. For my birthday in May, we went to Funky Buddha and it also happened to be the same day Chelsea won the FA cup. The team were out celebrating in a club close by yet Carvalho was in the club on his own (until we chased him out obv).

Big loss. Excellent player.

thats the problem tighty there is no in between everyone is either to old or to young.
the youth policy is now very good at chelsea (something mr abramovich was very keen on) but i dont think they done their sums right regarding the age of the squad.
there are some good young lads coming through who i think will make it into regulars over the next couple of seasons. van aanholt looks a perfect successor for ashley cole and i think bruma will definatly make the grade at centre back once he fills out a bit more. kakuutta is promising but again needs to fill out but his talent is very raw. there are others from a very successful youth side awaiting a chance.

carva is a massive loss though he wasnt at his best last season so maybe he had become a bit stale and had to get away. but no replacement was bought and once alex got injured we were always gona struggle for a partner for terry or even worse when jt is out as none of the rest are comfortable playing left side in a central defensive pairing.

Whats the thread title mean?

It's the Chelsea thread.

The celery comes from times when Chelsea used to travel up to Cambridge United. Fans used to steal celery from allotments and wave them at games.
