If Mickleson can score -2 after spending an hour hitting tee shots into the trees he's going to be tough to beat once he starts hitting fairways.

Anyone else finding the "Oh Georgia, mmmmmmm" thing going into adverts tilting?

Agree, Philly Mick hard to beat if he can sort his driving out.

It was starting to sound like fingernails scratching a blackboard towards the end.

On the plus side Monty was surprisingly good.

I thought Monty was good as well.

Not only was the 'Oh Georgia' thing tilting but I can't stand the very snooty way that they don't seem to be allowed to use the terms 'spectators' or 'fans' and instead have to call the people watching 'patrons'. Similarly there's no rough at Augusta, it's all 'first cut' and 'second cut'.

I don't remember any of this bollocks on the BBC.

monty losing his train of thought a few times and just tailing off made me laugh. He wasn't as bad as i expected him to be.

The hmm georgia thing just started to grate at the end.

Appreciating the low amount of adverts.

Also, why did the 3D not start until 10.30? The last group were already on the 12th or 13th hole.

Seems a bit pointless after Sky pushing that big time in all their adverts for it.

Sky may not be the "host broadcaster" whatever that means, I know it stopped them doing HD previously.

Once got into a press conference with Monty after his first round at Woburn a few years ago. Me and a mate got in there. Still not sure how. Offered him a tenner to stick his hand up and ask "You look like someone who enjoys a good fart in the bath. Is that a fair comment?" He sure took me up on it.

Re: the broadcasts. Is this the first year on Sky? Know they only used to allow a max of 2hrs live coverage on the BBC for fear of diluting the product or what not. Those Augusta boys are still in the 1900s.

Was wondering whether the Sky presenters have been told to inform us that every ad break is 'only a minute' long? Ridiculous not starting coverage until 7pm whatever. We should be getting every shot.

First year on sky. Lack of coverage till 7pm-actually 8 i believe full coverage from host broadcaster, is due to the masters draconian rules not sky. Been the same for yonks, guess it stops over saturation at least. Far too much chatter on sky, miss the beeb, sick of seeing butch stare down the camera rather than the person hes speaking too. Looking 4ward to sat and the beeb.
